Biggest stadiums

Rivals has a slideshow of the top 10 biggest stadiums in college football. I love CF stadiums, I would love to have mini replicas of all D1A stadiums. It's too bad CU can't sell out more often because we could really add on to Folsom by closing up the North end zone with seats and just have the teams come out of tunnels. I could also see another section added above the students in the south end. Oh and tear down Balch fieldhouse and put seats there with better press boxes. Do all that and we can easily make Folsom 70-75K. It can be done, maybe some day when CU sells out like Nebraska does, hey I can dream right? :smile2:

Biggest stadiums

bigger isnt always better. ive been to well over 100 stadiums and anything bigger than around 75-80k is just too much and copious imo

i also love symmetric stadiums

:yeahthat:

The bad seats in eATMe, UTerus & OU are pretty bad.

The size of Folsom can't deliver the same revenue, but the atmosphere is more intimate. Would ya rather catch Carrie Underwood at the Boulder Theater, or at Pepsi Center? Same kinda thing.

I'd rather catch her in my bed. :smile2:

It takes forever to get into the student section at Penn St. Last time I went to a game there it took about 20 min inside the stadium to get to an open seat.

Also, I think CU should paint the end zones black or gold with the other color spelling out Buffaloes.

I had better not catch her by my truck!:pissed:

Also, any closing in of the south end to where we cannot see the flatirons in out out out!! How else will I get everyone to think of me?

Count me in the camp that would love to see Folsom at 80K at some point. If they can make a stadium that big and fill it, all of the sudden there are more folks going to CU games than Bronco games.

I fully realize that realization of this pipe dream is several decades off, if ever.

Until the Broncos start losing on a regular basis, they will always be CU biggest competition. CU will never outsell the Broncos, hell will freeze over first. Myself, I love Folsom just the way it is - we have to start selling it out on a regular basis before any expansion.

I don't disagree at all. I want to get to the point where there's a demand for an 80k stadium.

I also think we're pretty close to getting that stadium sold out regularly. Mike Bohn has done a marvelous job at getting people excited about CU football, and the product on the field is helping too. They're running an ad on TV here that is mostly a YouTube clip of the fieldgoal against OU and the mayhem that ensued. The message is "Wouldn't you like to be part of this?"

NO! Put another level on the south endzone, you are going to block the view of the flatirons. That is one of the best features of Folsom.

Who the F**K is looking at the mountains? There's football to be played. Look at the mountains afterwards. They ain't going anywhere.

Don't get too far ahead of the obvious....until CU fans would rather go to a game than ski..play frizby golf ...climb a mountain...smoke dope...ride a bike...or tube down the river...or do just about anything else than go to a game , the size is perfect for now.
