Wil pericak moving to DT.....

I saw that article and wondered what your take would be. So I'll ask my question, with our best too guys graduating, do you think its best to redshirt him? or get him some PT ASAP?

He needs to gain weight, so that takes precedence. I expect he and Cunningham to put some serious work in the weight room this year.

Next year, we're looking at Goree, Cunningham, Pericak, and probably 1-2 true freshman. Not an ideal situation by any stretch, but hopefully the DEs are ready to pick up the slack.

Like boulder buff said, first thing is him putting on more weight. So I think next year will be his time. Hopefully we bring in 3 DT's this year and get some strength built up there.

DB and DT are the two positions that need addressed more than any OTHER,well de too:smile2:

Pericak has a good motor and is very physical.

Don't forget Lawson.

Guess who called this one??? ........ prediction

I predicted this as well. From seeing the kid play, I knew his best position was not TE. I didn't necessarily predict a move to DT, but definitely a move back to the defensive side of the ball made sense to me.

Credit where credit is due, but you had him down as a LB IIRC.

You're right. I felt like he'd make a better LB since that was his dominant position in high school. The kid hits like a freight train. Even so, if Pitt is putting some meat on him, a move to DT makes sense. Although, still playing devil's advocate, the typical move is from LB to DE, not DT. So we'll see where he eventually ends up.

He's up to 265 and has frame to hit 300, I like THIS move!:smile2:

I like this move too, and I hope it works out well. I imagine he'll redshirt this year, and I hope they r/s Cunningham as well. Quality depth at DT in different classes - what a nice thought.
