Wiliknson and Oppeneer may not be playing ofr the goats 8/31. I have to admit, I'd nvever heard of either of them so who knows whether it is a loss for the goats or not. Wilk was involved in some kind of fracas off campus and was suspended. (Former buff recruit, current goat LB Brewer was there too but not suspended). Oppeneer has some sort of injury, don't know how serious. You hate to see anybody get hurt.

So what's the over/under for passing yardage 8/31? 380?:smile2:

fracasses are getting crazee everywhere. that is unfortunate, i know i hate reading about when it is ours.

and yeah, it sucks to see kids get hurt.

This represents a dilema for the goats. If I were them, I'd want to stack the line and defend the run to make Cody beat me with his arm. But without their two starting corners, they may have to come off that strategy a bit in order to get their safeties back in pass coverage. That should open up the run game a lot and also allow the TE's to have a HUGE day.

This is very, very bad news for goat nation.

I'm willing to bet they still stack the middle and send at least 1 blitzer every play. I would adopt the mentality of eliminating the pass by minimizing the QB's time. I bet we see more blitz packages in this game than any other this season.

Good thing our O-Line ****ing rocks!

I think that we will win, but CSU always bothers me cause they always play us very tough. Not saying that this won't happen, but don't over estimate. Kind of like a K-State Texas kinda thing.

I'll take it, but I will never wish it upon them, because the injury bug always comes fill circle in the world of college football. Good luck to them getting back into the lineup...on Sept 1st. :wink2:

Well - agreed. Reading the article, it looks like Oppenneer, Wilkinson, and Elijah-Blu Smith are all hurt or suspended. Wilkinson and Smith are done for at least the first game, Oppenneer sounds like he will be back.... this Post article mentions the same about Oppenneer, expected bac:

Oppenneer watched practice with a boot on the ankle he sprained Tuesday. It's unknown when he will return, although Fairchild expects him back before the first game.

Openeer is a WO from U. of Mary? Not Maryland, Mary. Why do I find that very unintimidating?
