Coach Hawkins Post-Practice News Conference Aug. 16 2008 morning

I saw that, too, but figured it was probably a little outdated. I figured that by now, with the summer workouts and calorie intake, he may have gained some, and someone might have an update.

He may be doing real well in practices, but it seems like he'd be an injury waiting to happen if he played this year at guard, at 260-270. I may be the only one who's thinking this way, but I hope the staff redshirts him. He could use that extra year.

I played basketball against him about 2-3 weeks ago now and he is tall and very muscular. If I had to put a size on him I would say around 6'6"-6'7" 260 but running in the low 5's maybe even 4.9 in the 40's. He has some lateral quickness too. And painful elbows. He looked almost like he has under 15% body fat on him, which for an offensive lineman is rare. Needs to work on his jump shot tho. It is possible he gained weight in the pat 2-3 weeks tho too.

That's one hell of a power forward.

Cool, thanx.

I assume that his elbows were painful to you, not painful for him.
