From the newsroom:

Colorado officials said Friday that football season ticket sales have surpassed last year's total by more than 1,100 tickets.

Full story

Sometimes stories get buried in the newsroom, but I thought this was worthy of main page recognition. I'm a Mike Bohn fan, and what he's done in his stay here at CU is miraculous. Kudos to him, Coach Hawk and everybody involved in the athletic department.

The story says that we've sold over 22,000 season tickets, with another 12,000 tickets to be sold to students. With 2,500 or so seats allocated to visiting teams, that only leaves about 15,000 seats available per game.

The excitement is certainly building in Boulder. From 20,000 at the spring game, to 1,500 for a scrimmage on the practice fields, CU football is getting people's attention again, and in a good way.

This is terrific. I'm very proud of my school.
