Everyone is winning that is playing right now in the BIg 12. We expected Baylor to lose but we could only lose 1 game in the first week of play as a conference. Hey what is up with the Oklahoma game it said it is being delayed.

Not anymore...A&M loses to Ark State and I would say Texas Tech struggled with our opponent next week, Eastern Washington.

I am not sure that 49-24 is 'struggled', but if so, then I am ok if CU 'struggles' with a few teams this year!

It was an 11 point game going into the fourth quarter and Tech gave up 341 yards in the air. I think if you ask a Tech fan, they wouldn't have dreamed EWU would have been that close in the fourth quarter.

I don't know why it's being delayed, but 50-0 at halftime? :wow:

severe lighting and thunderstorm, they had to clear the seats, made everyone take cover, about 1/2 the fans left it seems..... storm delayed the start of the 2nd half bt about 70-75 minutes.

Yeah, it was a nice show. The weather guessers didn't expect anything tonight. In fact, their predictions said it would be dry until Tues-Weds of next week.

Not surprised that it had such an affect on the game. There was some serious juice in the sky tonight.

Just flipping through the box scores:

--Maybe Josh Freeman was right when he said that he's the best QB in the Big XII. He had a solid outing, statistically speaking. First game, anyway.

--Kanas' non-conference numbers didn't look nearly as impressive as they did last season. Again, first game.

--Texas A&M didn't just get beat...they got whupped!

--Ganz put up some nice numbers, but Lucky did not. Who's Helu? Did anyone watch that game?

--Seeing the OU symbol stacked up on the "score" column (ESPN Box Score) on the left, so many times is unnerving. I'm glad we'll play Texas Tech and not the Sooners in the Big XII Championship game.

Go Buffs!

EDIT: Okay, Lucky did produce two touchdowns (one on the ground, one on a reception), but if you take away his first score--a fourteen yard scamper to the endzone--his numbers on the ground are somewhat underwhelming.

you need an offense AND a defense to represent the b12 south. tech let some hickkendik score HOW many? we had BETTER have a more efficient defense when we meet them.

make no mistake - while tech beat ou last year, it was in large part to two factors: 1. bradford out. 2. and this is the biggest factor - getting screwed by the refs in the endzone. that was a td. tech will not represent the south. they are good. but not THAT good.

They say love is blind.

just sayin, as you seemed inclined to put your guns up...

And your OU passions are likewise noted.

And with a tip of the hat to you Ma'am, I belive I'll don my mask and cape and...erm...mount my horse in order to gallop right out of this thread.

call me exposed to the goings on of the sooner nation. i get to see them live about 3 times a year, thanks to my inlaws.

make no mistake. ALL of my passion is for the buffs. i do note, however, that my pointing out a few facts about tech's lack of a defense and the lowdown on their last matchup (that i was at, so i will take the liberty of relating first hand) has got you in such a tongue tied state that all you can offer is that i have to have "passions" for the sooners.

sir, you are this effin close to a date with the skiboot for being too daft to discern the wide chasm that exists between true school passion, and something that you are knowledgeable about. troo, i love hanging around my inlaws; very few people wouldn't. if you have any questions about whether that translates to sooner love, you can ask fc about my patience level with the sooner closest to me when he starts running his lip.

he was assaulted last year in folsom.

It was my original intent to insinuate that your love for your husband (not the team) didn't permit you to recognize the reality of our Southern conference-mates.

Forgive me for confusing your unique Sooner insights for passion.

I don't think I've seen you this fired up since some Buff fans suggested that Coach Stoops fell short of his responsibilities in regards to Jarboe's weapons charges (in the Navy, we would call my last sentence a shot across the bow, by the way).

and those buff fans were seriously myopic, given our own issues of late, and the fact that in one instance, a buff had to be punished byway of the school, because we were raring to have him starting every saturday. it was a hypocrisy theme that interested me; that the sooners were involved is coincidental. i would stand my ground with the same position if it were any another school.

when using short quips, it is best to be crystal clear about what exactly you are comparing. in the past two days, it could be construed that i have been likened to a love relationship with lammiefusker, and with the sooners. in both respects, the love doctors need to find a referral to the proctologist to remove the square object that got wedged deep.

i do not love, like, or have passion for any dick licking team. the only team for me is the buffs. betta get your head right with that. next time, any shot across the bow of my buffbus could result in the complete annhiliation of your entire force. how is that for diplomacy?

Of course those comments regarding Jarboe were hypocritical. Did you ever notice how much we behave a little like CSU fans when dealing with Nebraska (or at least before they sucked)? Remember how close those games were in the 90s (except 92, of course)? We used that as justification for the value of the rivalry and for the series. We make fun of Rams for doing the same. I don't say anything about it, and interestingly, either do you.

Fans are fans are fans. We're not a rational bunch to begin with. We obsess over a game over which have not control. Virtually nothing we do or say here is grounded in reality.

I see ridiculous comments everyday about teams that would be considered hypcritical by any rational standard. But it's my observation that your are more inclined to bring the ski-boot out when the Sooners' reputation is on the line than for any other team (aside from the Buffs, of course).

Previously, I assumed it was out of affection for UBT, which is sweet, if true. Perhaps as you pointed out before it's due to your enhanced familiarity with the program.

Just sayin' is all...

To answer your question: Sometimes diplomacy requires permitting the other force to understand your intentions. Absolute aggression without restraint. Noted.

1. what makes you so sure that i don't?
2. i have an affection for ubt. i tend to demonstrate that to him directly. he appreciates that.
3. i'm not on here 24/7. i will talk about whatever is on the table when i have time to talk.
4. damn straight! what good is it having a muthaka, if you do not intend to unleash it once in a while?
:smile2:
