Per the camera, smith's back still bothering him and wright has an ankle problem. Both are question marks for E.wshington.

This is not good news and you can get all bent out of shape with me if you want but, we NEED smith.

Right now, that leaves c.brown, j.brown and mckay at cb.

We need these two to get healthy and quick, especially smith.

agreed, EWU is going to throw 5 WR sets at us so we need all the bodies we can get.

As a side note. Jalil Brown looked big and physical on Sunday. I would like to see more of him on the field, and less of McKay. He is just too scrawny to stop anybody.

Smith's back problems are starting to concern me. Hopefully he is ready to go with a couple more weeks off.

In total agreement, Mckay looked like he didn't want to hit anybody and didn't seem physical at all, a bunch of weak arm tackles

I am worried about Eastern Washington personally. http://www.denverpost.com/sports/ci_10358115.
Read the article it made me scared somewhat.

I'm not. Colorado has a better D by far than Tech and always has. We also always match up against the Texas Tech spread very well. This is game 2 of the season, and all coaches always say that improvement is biggest from game 1 to game 2. EWU will get some yards, but they just don't have the horses to go the distance in my opinion. Also, you can bet that Hawk has nightmares about this game after Montana State and will leave no stone unturned. I'm betting we come out like a bat out of hell and score close to 40 in the first half to take the fight out of them. Scott, Stewart and Sumler are going to have 250 yards on the ground, Cody will have over 200 in the air. Oh and the talent gap between the schools is the size of the grand canyon. Anything is possible, but I say Buffs cruise 56-20.

:iagree: ...our linebackers should be quick enough to cover their 3rd - 5th receiver....and we will eat up a lot of yards and time on the ground to essentially slow them to a halt...plus, TT has NO defense, so this will be their first sight at someone challenging them

I don't buy that about our LBs. Yes they are fast, but not receiver fast. Teams at the playing for a real championship, or whatever the **** they are called now, level have talent, just not a lot of depth.

agreed twofold...they will have talent for 2 good receivers and no depth for the other 2-3 if they're going to be running 5 wideouts

Referencing their division level. Don't know any of the new names and don't really see a reason why they changed something everyone understood.

So are you referring to the level-formerly-known-as-Division-I-AA in your post above?

What we really need is a good pass rush and 5 sacks like we did against CSU. If we can get into the backfield and stir things up, they will be forced to throw off balanced and quick. We need a big win to carry momentum a week and half into the WVU game.

I hate that this game is not going to be on TV.

You can bet the farm that collins will rush 3 dl for most the game, and we will all scream from our seats until our voices are gone.

CU needs to generate a consistent pass rush from it's front 4. Do so, and this game is ours.

Well yeah, we all know that but you know what's coming,we've seen it amny times before, especially last year vs tech. I'm going to count how many times we blitz a LB also.

look for heavy heavy doses of sumler, scott and stewart on saturday. wear them down and run clock. keep their offense off of the field.

Ummm.... we beat tech.

Please don't try to confuse psycho with the facts.

Psycho, I doubt you will get to your second hand counting the LB blitzes in this game. My bet is Hawk & Co want to keep it vanilla again.
