Hawk does what???

Really great article, but:

Hawkins could win a couple of national championships at Colorado. He could go on to coach Notre Dame, a position he has coveted because of his Catholic faith, and restore the Irish to prominence. He could inherit the Denver Broncos top job from Mike Shanahan and achieve his coaching dream of winning a Super Bowl.

:wtf:

I don't see Hawkins going anywhere soon....his mentor is Coach Mac and I believe Hawk wants to establish himself as that next type of coach for this program...take us to the promised land and leave as a legend!...and I believe he loves mentoring young kids like these in college so much that the NFL will never be a good fit for him

You can tell that 5280 is a lifestyle magazine and not sports magazine with this comment. Probably the only two teams the writer knows

I can't imagine too many coaches wanting the ND job with what their Athletic Dept. has turned into, unless they are raving egomaniacs looking for a huge paycheck, like Charlie Weis.

And I hate to say this, but ND is on the right track. Charlie Weis can coach and he is recruiting up a storm. He isn't going anywhere for a while.

Yeah, people said the same thing about Willingham & Davie before him. I question the true value of their recruiting classes. We've all seen it before, a kid is a 5* when he's being recruited to ND, but somehow becomes a 3* when he signs somewhere else.

I'm not drinking the ND coolaid. They suck until they prove otherwise.

I'm still not sold on Fat Charlie...unless he's in a pie eating contest.
