Offical CALM THE F*** DOWN thread

Wasn't it Lou Holtz that said
"It does not matter if you win by 1....or 100, as long as you win."? Granted it was like 100 years ago, but he'll forget more about football than I probably will ever know.

forget 100 years ago. he said it again this year.

Yep 2-0 and a week and a half to work on things but let people vent, we keep hearing about all this talent and speed but we haven't done squat with it.

I turned 41 today, maybe i'm bitter about my age.:smile2:

Seriously. We're 2-0.

Ugly wins are still wins.

Amen.

Ohio State struggled; Notre Dame struggled (against a SD State team which got thumped by Cal Poly); Michigan struggled; and ....

by the way ....

West Virginia is not invincible.

All I could do was track the game on the internet (which REALLY SUCKS, BTW), but it seemed there were a ton of penalties again this week and from what I read, a number of Cody's completions were very short. That seemed especially true when it was third and long and he'd get 5-6 yards throwing short. A number of passes were caught for negative yardage, too, from what I could tell. Based on the posts above it doesn't sound like he had a lot of time, but still....Eastern Washington? They need to get focused in a hurry because the fun starts in a week and a half. At least they won, though. They absolutely COULD NOT lose this game.

Go Buffs!

The biggest improvement is between weeks 1 and 2, err make that 2 and 3.

Calm down buff fans....................I'll take an ugly win over a pretty loss anyday of the week. Trust me...............we had an UGLY win as well. Go Big XII!

During the game I kept telling myself "Just win this game and everything will be forgotten about in a few days"

We´ve got 1.5 weeks off now and we´re 2-0 ... it wasn´t pretty, but we escaped with a scare. I am worried about the next 2 games, but I hope we can put the time before those 2 to good use.

My heart would greatly appreciate it if we could abstain from scheduling DI-AA teams that can possibly hang with us as the good DI-AA teams are apparently capable of giving BCS teams a game.

Just win one of the next 2. GO BUFFS!

Better the fans care than totally be apathetic.

I totally agree about the scheduling of good AA teams. They are not push overs! They are good teams with good players.

No more AA teams. You win and get nothing out of it but "that's expected" you lose and you are a the laughing stock of College Football for awhile.

I think the 1-AA games a fun for college football. It just shows how much hidden talent is around this country and it is exciting to see non recruited players give their all against a powerhouse and sometimes get that upset. App St. anyone? How can you not enjoy some of these games?

Our EWU game was awesome! It was exciting, down to the wire and we won. Go Buffs.
