Am I crazy?
Most postings are people panicking after one bad game. I must be drinking the kool-aid, because I don’t think we have seen the real Buffs yet.
My theory is: the Buffs are waiting for their coming out party with WVU. (Which WVU blew by losing to ECU) The Buffs have purposely not shown much in the first two games. I think the Buffs plan to unleash a large portion of their new offence at the WVU game. A good plan for two reasons: First WVU has to adjust to an offence they have never seen during a game. (Advantage CU] If CU beats an undefeated top ten WVU, they catapult into the top 25. And recruiting catches fire. (Instead ECU gets the bump for beating WVU.)
For the last two Games Buffs have played a run heavy, Dink and dunk offence. This year the Buffs have a lot of WR speed, but have called few plays to exploit it. Why? In the fourth quarter, when CU had not overcome the first half mistakes, they put their foot on the gas and scored 17. They had been grinding the field in 11-12 plays, then all the sudden they were taking out chunks.
Like all of you I have many concerns. None more troubling then the (Swiss cheese) offensive line. I think we have a lot of young talent, I just hope it all comes together soon.
Is this wishful thinking or possible?
