UNLV upsets Arizona State in OT

We were talking about it in chat...well at least I was.

UNLV had a receiver that made the catch of the year so far. It was a one-handed catch from about the 5 yard line or so.

ASU on their OT attempt was pathetic. They ran the ball straight up the gut 2 times and then had a lousy pass. It was as if you could see the blocked fg was about to happen.

I was watching the ASU/Stanford game last week since I get FSN Arizona down here and the student section all had signs that read "Bring on UGA" about halfway through the 3rd quarter. What a ****ty fanbase. One guy in the stands had a homemade "Bring on UNLV" sign

At least someone wasn't looking ahead. ASU vs UGA next week could get ugly.

Oh and the MWC was 4-0 against the Pac-10 this week. And the Pac-10 only won 3 games. OUCH.

Holy crap... was not expecting this one (had 14 confidence points locked into this game on pick 'em). It'll be interesting to see how ASU deals with this loss going forward. Will they be focused and angry against Georgia next week, or broken down and lethargic?

My money's on the former, but we'll have to see.

I think it would be hilarious is ASU beat UGA next week after this.

I keep saying it, but if CU with the '06 team can go into Georgia and take it to them anything is possible. I am not a believer and UGA did nothing yesterday to prove me wrong.

Still laughing about the fUCLA blowout.

Most people do not realize that UGA/South Carolina is like CU/CSU. This game is usually close and spurrier always has UGA's number. A good number of the players on South Carolina are from Georgia and were not recruited by UGA, so they have a bit of a chip on their shoulder.

...but if we were a legitimate No.2 the CU/CSU game would be an absolute joke.

Now I understand these are both SEC teams so the scenario is quite different, but I am just saying that I am not impressed with UGA and that high ranking just yet.

usc would probably win the MWC with little trouble at all. well utah might thump them.

I think the Spurrier factor adds alot to that since he used to coach at UGA's biggest rival, but like you said the proximity is also a big factor as well as the fact that they're both in the same division of the same conference.

Rudy Carpenter is WAY overrated. ASU might still have a different coach if that stupid Keller decision weren't made - Keller was a much better QB.

South Carolina lost to Vanderbilt...I am with you, I am not anointing Georgia as anything special yet...they may have too many injuries
