Beautiful game and Mountaineers played solid. But this game was won by solid coaching and Dline and a few breaks that saved Buffs.

A break here or there and WVU would have won the game. You guys rushed for 250 or so yards, right? Against Auburn you may struggle, but their offense is terrible. Keep your heads up and remember that while a loss against CU was tough, a win against Auburn would be big at this point (even if they do lose to LSU this weekend). The season isn't lost and you can still win the Big East and go to yet another BCS bowl.

With coaching changes you'll experience major growing pains. We had ours 3 years ago and are just now getting back to respectability. Hopefully it won't take you guys that long.

Such is college ball. Hawk says it all the time and the majority of games come down to 5-6 plays. What if Cody doesn't throw a pick? What if Cody doesn't get blindsided and fumbles? What if Cha'pelle held onto the ball? What if WVU manages the clock and really pushes for a FG to end the game? What if WVU doesn't fumble at the beginning of the game? What if Cody was picked off more than once (it was close a couple of times)? What if they don't miss their OT kick? What if....

We didn't put them away like I feel we should have. That's ok, we are young, we are getting better and I'll take (ugly) wins over ugly loses any day.

This team is definitely making progress (I loved our balanced attack!), but don't act as if we outclassed them. We controlled the clock well, stopped them when we needed to and played well on 3rd down (haven't seen the stats). Those are all very, very important to measure our progress, but the scoreboard doesn't reflect that. I think that'll come with time, but we aren't there......yet. And ultimately, that's the most important thing. Just a few years ago we always seemed to be on the receiving end of those crucial plays. Remember, this is a team with perhaps the best QB (or very close to) in the nation.

We'll take a few lumps across the season. To be honest, I'm very pleased with the team. We don't give up anymore (*memories of 70-3*). I can respect that, but I'm also tired of moral victories too.

As long as the team represents the university well on and off the field then I'll be a happy alum, even if that means we won't win the mNC. But for now I think we still have a chance to go 14-0.

GO BUFFS!

Aside from the outcome, I hope the Mountaneer faithful enjoyed your visit to Folsom. We get to watch an other slug fest between these teams next year in Morgantown.

Thanks for a thrilling game and for giving the fans in Boulder an excuse to charge the field.

I am sure they did. The "Mountaineers" saw mountains for the first time!

Thanks for visiting. Don't be a stranger, seriously. Those husker fans kinda hang out (and have been long before I joined) and we like them, most of the time. If we can like a husker we can definitely support visits from an 'eer.

Good game. Good luck with the conference. Hope you guys run the Big East table.

ya, do us a favor and use this loss as a spur to stomp all over everyone the rest of the year!
