Check out what this WVU moron says about the game

What a pussy. The better team won. That's what makes teams better - they find ways to win games.

Has he ever watched a football game before? Wow. Nice comment thrown in their about the stadium too.

6. I was surprised how antiquated the Colorado score board was, as it appeared to be a generation or two behind the current technology. The stadium reminded me of Maryland’s Byrd Stadium in many respects (e.g. patching on decks & sections and the size), and that is fitting since this game replaced the Maryland game.

What a joker. If I was scout.com, I would be embarrassed that I sent this guy out there and this is all he came back with? Sounding like a homer

**** them. Let the media think we aren't that good of a team. Hopefully by the end of the year we finish strong with all the pundits thinking "Where the **** did these guys come from?!"

It just sucks when such a great and mighty team like West Virgina loses to such a sorry and inferior team like Colorado, who has the curse if playing in such a shoddy stadium with an old scoreboard.

I can't wait to check out the bad news Buffs playing in Morgantown next year, so I can pay homage to a real program with real talent that plays in a state of the art West Virginia facility with a jazzy scoreboard.

Who knows, maybe the heavens will open up and the Mountaneer experience in their house will change my whole view of college football. Too bad there is a ban on sofa burnings in Morgantown, because that was the one thing that really sets West 'by God' Virginia apart from Boulder.

dont forget the state of Ohio too, especially the Columbus area.....

Thoughts from Boulder

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This was a disappointing night, and most WVU fans I polled as we were walking out of the stadium agreed that Stewart should either be fired or be pressured into resigning. NOT ONE of the 100 or so fans that I briefly talked to while walking out felt it was out of line to be considering Stewart's firing. This was not a well-played game by either team. WVU had plenty of chances to win, but in close games it comes down to coaching, and its clear that CU had the coach with the better track record.

I do not follow CU football but it is clear that they must have lost a lot of games in the past few years for their students to run on the field after beating a team that is 1-2 with one loss coming against a CUSA opponent. Did we run onto the field after defeating Mississippi State last year or even want to? Also, their students yell "Go Buffs" with a sort of shrill, weak tone that makes them sound like they are all out of it.

The stadium was not full--plenty of empty seats. Their students sit close to the field so their cheers are more organized, but the stadium was not loud. Nowhere near as loud as at PJCS in 2006 or at USF last year or the games at VaTech. The pregame atmosphere is quelled by the fact that the campus surrounds the stadium and these people are so worried about the environment that, unlike at SEC stadiums, no one pitches tents on the quads for tailgating. The tailgating was out in the parking lots and was minor league. The stadium itself is a decent facilty--wide aisles and behind the pressbox side is a massive fieldhouse that serves as a concourse--but the lines were very long for concessions.

The WVU fans that made the trip were vocal in support of their team, and there were about 4000 in the WVU sections. No way CU brings even 1000 to WVU in all liklihood. What is sad is this may be the high watermark for fan support for awhile.

Nearby Rocky Mountain National Park is beautiful and I saw some Elk and coyotes--that will be the highlight of the trip. I do not regret coming out to the game because I always enjoy travelling to different places. I went to Wiscy in 2002 when the program was about where it has fallen to now, and I'll head to Auburn next year and to Mich State when we head up there because I love college football. I have lost patience, however, in Bill Stewart. If he had a winning track record as a head coach somewhere, I may be inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it is becoming more clear that his 8-25 record at VMI is an accurate representation of his head coaching abilities--but we've been through bad years before in 1999, 2001, in the early 1990s--and we'll likely have a few bad years coming up, but eventually, we'll be successful again.

i know the theme of the thread is "moron" but, im not trying to call that guy a moron. its just his opinion. i would guess some of his thoughts were influenced by the outcome of the game.

I guess he didn't like the 'go back to hickville, your sisters probably wet' comments he got when he started spouting off to students. If you come away from Folsom saying the stadium sucks you must either be a west vagina sister-screwing dolt, blind, or just a bit jealous. Or all three.

I hope I see that guy in Morgantown next year. I'll send a balloon his way.

I'm amazed that guy finds time to 'write' at all what with running his still, keeping sheriff Roscoe off his back, taking care of his cousin/wife, and banjo practice.

Actually, this guy just cemented my desire to go to WVA next year. 1000 fans? We can do better than that. And we will beat them again.

The best part about that is when fans from programs such as FSU, ASU and others talk about the atmosphere of Boulder and Folsom. I would much rather take the opinion of a storied program like FSU over some ****ty Big East, sister ****ing, 4 tooth hillbilly any day.

Thanks for sharing that, 4Dem.

Posts like that provide exactly the kind of anti-imigration propaganda that discourages droves of buckskin tuxedo wearing possum munchers from invading the state like a bunch of Cal-nebr-exans Meh, Colorado isn't for everybody.

Based on that guy's write up, no self-respecting Molehillneer will ever pack up the moonshine and the combustible couch and move to the base of the Rockies. It's a clear step backwards to move out of Appalacha to mingle with amature tailgaters futsing around on CU's tent free campus. I heard nothing but crickets on Thursday night with all those empty bleachers that go hans in hand with Colorado's feabile history of losing seasons.

Oh man, it's hard to look yourself in the mirror when all you got is scoreboard on the class of the Big East. All I got left is a shrill and weak "Go Buffs".

Just wait until they catch on to our bad habit of throwing piss filled balloons and marshmello filled nails at elderly out of state visitors.

If possum munching is wrooooonga, I don' wanna be right!

i was wondering what was up with the author. every pan of the stadium showed a packed folsom. students reported having to resort to bleacher surfing.

so if there were plenty of open seats, was it bc everyone was trying to crowd away from the wvu section? did they smell THAT bad? i would have dismissed that stereotype as nonsense. but maybe the author has a point? their fans are scary ugly? that mountaineer sure was.

It was not sold out, but there weren't a ton of empty seats, either. As much as they tried to get people into the game early, it just didn't work out. By the end of the game, there was a strong 52k+ in the stadium. That doesn't allow for a lot of empty seats.

And I gar-an-damn-tee there will be a lot more than 1,000 CU fans in Morgantown next year. I also guarantee we won't be returning any of our allotment, dooshe.

I am sure the antiquated scoreboard was a major factor in them losing. :wow:

No matter how antiquated the scoreboard is, the score will always be CU 17, WVA 14.
