Ok, I'm back from the debacle by the river this past Saturday, and despite the outcome had a great time both at the game & in the Florida Sun all week! I also now understand what the big hype over this Disneyland/Disneyworld thing is since I was the 24 year old 3rd Grader all week! It's a cool place anyways, here's a few FUN tidbits I'd love to share from the game....
1. FSU Fans have the worst case of "Penis Envy" I've ever seen....When your fans start more cheers about the Gators, and the biggest roar of the game comes when the Gator score is posted, obviously there's a problem???
2. FSU Fans can only spell 1 thing. F-L-O-R-I-D-A_S-T-A-T-E...and then they repeat the spelled word 3 times in a row as if it's some sort of validation that they correctly spelled their teams name again like in 3rd grade. They CANNOT spell Buffaloes though, as I went to 3 bars with "Welcome Seminoles and Buffalos" written on the outside. Hello??? If you can spell "Florida State" repeatedly, and can spell "Seminoles", then you should be able to figure out that "Buffaloes" has an E at the end very similarly to "Seminoles"...2+2????
3. Apparently the "Dirty Hippy" vibe that CSU kids love to throw out to Boulder is a national deal as me and my fiancee (freshly from showers) were repeaditly called "smelly hippy's" or "can you smell those hippies".
4. I was pretty proud of the CU turnout as we had a good crowd. If I were an FSU fan, I'd be a little embarrassed as they couldn't even come close to filling the lower bowl of that stadium. They were also articles written all week about the terrible turnout/support for this game.
5. There are a LOT of bandwagon FSU fans. When my uncle and all his buddies have completely jumped off their own teams ship after 1 loss because they can only tolerate the days of being a top 10 school I about puked knowing I had to tailgate with these d-bags. Of course they all jumped back on after the game.
6. Cody Hawkins sucked and his mom Misty knew it. I'm not going to talk much about the game since I'm sure everyone has already dissected the hell out of it. But Misty couldn't even show her face in public (they were buried in her hands much of the game) after a few of Cody's passes.
7. It was hot as a whales vagina out there...if that makes sense....how bout I just restate the fact that it was HOT on saturday.
8. Worst moment of the game was FSU runs the kickoff back and out of the locker room on the other side of the field comes Ryan Miller on crutches & in a cast....I think my heart shrunk about 2 sizes that moment.
In any event it's good to be back, and will be even better to be back with 50,000 of my fellow buff friends this weekend!
