Can we formally get rid of those stupid shoulder things?

Can we please scrap those things now? Maybe put some bold lettering on our jerseys again?

Can't help but notice that Nike didn't gay up Texas' unis like they did ours... Aside from the ugly orange that is on there, they used to be identical to what we had. Their unis are what we should be wearing now! Just in our colors though.

I have to agree.. I think our uniforms looking freaking awful.. Thank God they haven't screwed up the helmet..

Well they kinda did... Note our logo has that weenie italics CU in it now.

I just thought it was interesting to see that Texas has a Nike contract and they managed to keep their traditional unis that have had for ages yet we bent over for Nike and now have all sorts of crap on ours.

And also, the color migrated from classic CU gold, to a kinda greenish, South Florida Gold.

That's because Texas has had the same unis for pretty much their entire history and are considered a "classic" uniform. CU's unforms changed regularly up until 1985, we don't have that same distinction.

Also, I'm pretty sure the logo tweak wasn't something that Nike did. I think it was pushed for by the University independently as a way to rebrand the school following "the scandal" and all of the bad press from Ward Churchill. I remember when they put out a press release looking for bids on the redesign (I was in the advertising community at the time), I was pretty incensed about it, though that was because I thought they were going to overhaul the logo instead of just tweak it a little.

I heard we also get more $$$ from nike so that they can test uniform changes on CU

i agree with that. i've noticed it when i walk by practice the last year or so. it's not the pale, mettalic gold but more sort of champagne or cheap beer urine-y colored.

i am not a fan of the uniform changes. my opinion remains: is this the best almighty Nike can do for us? last week the team practiced in the black tops with the white pants. i truly hope we never see that look at home, looks pretty weak, IMO.
