SCOTT, wasted year and injury prone?

I thought scott looked fine after the 40 yd reception but now we are being told he twisted his ankle. It's a shame because we are 5 games in and his numbers have dropped with each game. Seems like a wasted year so far.

Did he have a bunch of injuries in high school also? The guy hasn't been 100% according to the coaches since he got here, or at least that's what we are being told.

I hope this isn't a consistent theme throughout his career.

We're laughing at you syko. Scott has been hurt, it's part of football. **** happens. Hindsights 20/20.

This playing time will pay off for Scott. I think it's pretty dumb to be calling someone a waste 5 games out of a 48-52 games college career. Get a life!

Sit him a couple games and get him completely healthy. We will need him down the stretch in November. It is not a wasted season to get valuable experience.

I didn't call SCOTT a waste, I said the YEAR. Read first and then comprehend the comment. Get a brain.

I think when your team is doing poorly and being outclassed it is natural to start pointing a finger at anything that looks deficient.

There are plenty of things wrong with the Buffs right now and Scott not being the monster back of our dreams up to this point is a very small factor. With his style of running he may continue to struggle until the line begins to dominate and take over the game. What do you think the chances of that happening this year are??

Even if he doesn't turn up big numbers this year he'll have a years worth of experience to benefit from when the Buffs come back next year with a stronger, healthier and hopefully deeper line

Good post, you're right. Thank you for the well thought out post

he did miss out on a sumer of working with the strength and conditioning coach. lets hope he can make some improvements in the next year

I'm talkin this year too, get a brain

I don't give a f**K what year you're talking,I NEVER said scott was a waste,we still have 7 games left so maybe we'll see some of his ability in the next 7 games.

Now stop being a richard and I'll quit being an a-hole:smile2:

Why don't you all shut the hell up? This is the way it is going to be this year, and likely next year. Keep the faith that we will blow up these UT and OU d-bags in 2 years....

Wait 2 years, now it's 2010. At this rate,we'll all be dead before cu challenges for the north.

Reality check, I think.

It doesn't surprise me at all that somebody would ask this question. In fact if you guys have been trolling over at Hornfans, they're convinced D.Scott is a bust. (Well, most of them.)

Those asstards are used to guys coming along like Cedric Benson, Earl Campbell, etc., that not only have great maturity at age 19 (as DS does) but also have guys actually blocking for them.

In fact if you read ALL their posts, they just seem to take it for granted that their skill position players will have somebody in front of them throwing a meaningful block.

Well the fact is, as CU nobody's really throwing downfield blocks. Our young OL is doing all they can to hold their ground against guys that are bigger, older, and stronger than them. That won't always be the case of course.

The other thing - In 5 games Scott (and the rest of the true Freshman) have faced 3 of the best programs in the country over the last 15-20 years. Are there many other kids in ANY programs that are thrown in like that?

My own opinion - this will be a mediocre year, but we're planting the seeds for bigger things. 2010 and beyond will be great years again for the CU program, but in the meantime we just have to be realistic.

So now 2010 is the breakout year? I get the feeling it will be 2012 by the end of the season.
