UNC just had a first-down pass that would've essentially ended the game, but it was overturned on on a ridiculously bad replay reversal. They took about 5 minutes to review, which in and of itself tells you that you should've stuck with the call on the field.

:bang: :bang: :bang:

OK, now the officials are trying to say the game still isn't over after an ND player caught and fumbled the ball at the 5 with :01 left. Even if he caught it, the clock should run after the spot and game over!!!!!

What the hell, is NBC paying these officials?!??? :wtf:

At least UNC won. What is up with poor officiating today?

Yea, but nd never should've even gotten that last drive. That's the biggest problem I have with instant replay in both college in pro - if the call is that tough to determine and it takes them that long to review, then it's apparent that there's not "indisputable evidence" to the contrary of what was originally call, therefore you stick with the original call made on the field.

This ending reminded me of that Wild Wings commercial where they're not ready to go home yet and they ask for help from the officials to extend the game.

Here's the way I look at officiating, if the NFL is the pinnacle of the profession :wow: just imagine how lousy NCAA officials are. Week in and week out you have blatant incompetency, home cooking and higher rated teams always getting the breaks - it's a systemic problem that will ALWAYS exist.
