We didn't get beat by a good team today

I refuse to believe that Kansas is a #16 team - they are way over ranked. Right now 6 - 6 is about as good as it's going to get. I'm not convinced that Cody Hawkins should be our starter.

Good news, I think we beat aTm and ISU. That gives us 5 wins. So we need to eek out another W somewhere. I dont see where right now, I guess Kjuco is our best bet.

kNU is beatable too. but Ganz is a better QB than Cody (he can run and much better arm). Our D is better, but we need to start Bally next week to get a shot at kNU later.

I'm not sure we go bowling at 6-6. Especially if we get beat by nu at the end of the year.

ku is not significantly more talented athletically than CU. except for:

-their mini-qb has a good arm and good speed, particularly compared to our mini-qb

-their ol is pretty decent, ours is not even close to respectable

-they've been in their system longer and they have a little bit of a pipeline and smooth operation going

those were the differences in the game. we took a young, inexperienced, and very beat up team on the road against a more experienced team with a better system (right now) and a better qb. the result was predictable.

but, i can tell you for sure that i would not be happy at all if CU recruited the way ku does. that converted qb as their best wr? those rbs? they are a system team not a team built around great athletes. they are going to get clobbered by every good team they play. they are similar in that respect to the last few gb teams.

at CU, we aspire for more than that, but we have to walk before we can run.

the better team won today. they aren't an elite team by a long margin, but we aren't even a good team right now.

well, at least its not a losing season.

Wow, don't get me wrong I know where you're coming from but I have to ask this is where we're at? We lose to freaking kansas for the third year in a row, get embarrassed for the third week in a row and our highest hopes are just to break even? Sh*t even barney did that on a yearly basis. I don't think people have realized the full extent of the damage that the "scandal" and backing into the Big XII championship year after year (to get blown out) have done to this program. Hawk may be a lot of things but I don't think he's a saviour here. Despite an extraordinary performance in recruiting this offseason the program looks like it's regressing. The rest of the conference is improving, can the Buffs keep up?

can the Buffs keep up?

i don't know. can we?

this is not the Coach Mac Buffs, that is for sure.

an "upset" of ku was ripe for the taking. had our ol been intact, i think CU might have got it done.

i hate rebuilding. it is very stressful. CU is not as good in week 6 as they were in week 3 and i attribute it mostly to the injuries on the ol and the subsequent collapse of confidence by a very young team.

they need to rally and beat kjsu. i wonder how much the university wants for CU to win. Mac cut corners early on in his tenure to get the program going. i don't think there is any tolerance now for taking many risks on players. it makes a difference, unfortunately.

**Newsflash***
CU isn't a very good team

We finally agree! lol. Seriously though, we are still very young and just not that good, but there are simple things we can do to be decent and dangerous. Namely, the offensive coaches need to smarten up and call plays that Cody can succeed at, which means no rolling to his left on 3rd and longs.

Even with a horrible QB who did not complete 50% of his passes, we were in the game in the 4th quarter...

:thumbsup::cry:

KU will win more than 1 more game....I still have it marked down....
