The focus from here on out needs to be getting bowl eligible

This team absolutely, positively NEEDS those extra practices. We need to get Ballenger more reps. The results of the bowl game are irrelevant. We have six games and we need to win three. Four would be better.

Right now, OSU and Missouri are looking like no-hopers, which means we have to beat everybody else on the schedule.

I honestly didn't think OSU would be considered a no-hoper, but they just went into Missouri and beat the hell out of a team that many thought was a national championship contender. :wow:

Fat chance on MB, IMO. He wisn't likely to get any real PT.

Otherwise, I agree with the post. MU and OSU look like extreme longshots. Bowl practices are a crucial thing for this team....

By more reps, I mean more practice reps.

the diff between 6-6 and 5-7 is astronomical from a national perception/recruiting standpoint. also, a pretty big difference in the inevitable 10 million year off-season of "what if's?" for message board fans.

:wow::thumbsup:

i think CU will get at least 3 more wins.

i hope and expect that they will come out with guns blazing against kjsu. after a 3 game losing streak, they should be salty and ready to tear somebody up. it is at home. this will help get us going again.

no game is unwinnable, but mizzery is pretty close to it for the Buffs right now. they are a terrible matchup for CU. add to the fact that it is in their stadium and it is a tough, tough game.

the key will be getting out of miizzery healthy and happy enough to go down to atm and give them a good game. atm is weak, but CU isn't that great on the road at all. atm is a winnable one, however.

then, 2 games at home. isu should be a win at folsom. okie state is not unbeatable. yeah, they upset mizzery and they are way better than CU, but CU could get them at home in the upset. i wouldn't put a lot of money on it.

then, 2 weeks to rest, and off to stinkoln. i am hoping CU is already at 6 wins by then (probably kjsu, atm, and isu). a nice win over the fuskers to cap the season would be great.

given all that has happened this year, i would take 7-5 and be very happy with it.

we shall see. fingers crossed.

Since December can be one of the biggest times for recruiting as well, it'll be very hard to sell progress and the fact that CU is on the up and up if we do worse than last year too.....excuses like injuries won't fly for these highschoolers

Focus should be on beating KSU. One game at a time.

I think beating the mildcats would turn around the season. If the Buffs lose however... there is going to be an absolute sh*t storm of controversy going forward. I'm taking a step back from how deeply negative I've been feeling about the state of the program. I'll give Hawk the benefit of the doubt about everything including starting Cody despite his struggles. He's earned the right to make the calls. We'll see how it all works out at the end of the year.

I agree about MB but also believe we can win the rest of the games.:gobuffs:

I never look at any game as unwinnable.

Alright will forward the memo to the team that it would be in their best interests to become bowl eligible.

Agreed. Take each team one week at a time and do their best to win. If they don't, it happens, but the team can't let itself get caught up looking to MU after KSU, OSU after ATM and NU after ISU.
