Assuming we ever have a good football team again (which appears to be a stretch..)

We need to pay back MU. Why are they trying to run up the score?

Re: Assuming we ever have a good football team again (which appears to be a stretch..

What's so bad about running up the score?

Re: Assuming we ever have a good football team again (which appears to be a stretch..

**** misery, they're probably still crying about the 5th down.

Re: Assuming we ever have a good football team again (which appears to be a stretch..

Probably? Have you ever read a newspaper?

Re: Assuming we ever have a good football team again (which appears to be a stretch..

Complaining about running up the score = weak.

True...our guys play with zero emotion, so it really makes no difference. Good point.

Re: Assuming we ever have a good football team again (which appears to be a stretch..

I have NO faith in DH anymore. It's like we can only win a game if the other team doesnt show up, I dont think anyone is buying his zen/blue collar/mumbo jumbo bullShhet anymore!

I am not a DH fan, he sucks @$$.

My problem is with coaches calling flea flickers and halfback pitch fly patterns when their teams are up 28-0. That play gets called, the next play I take a late hit on the quarterback. can't just bend over and take a beating like they did tonight.

Yeah. Taking a cheap shot on a kid will get peoples respect. Nice.

Re: Assuming we ever have a good football team again (which appears to be a stretch..

I'm glad we didn't take a cheapshot. I hate booger, but he did what he was supposed to do when his coach put him on. DH has control of the team, because I'm sure when you put that many 18-22 year olds out there they all want to rip his ****ing head off.

We should ****ing pound it next year on Pinkel though. I don't care if we are up 40 in the 4th (I'm not being rational right now).

I'm not talking, knee injury, season-ending injury, late hit. I'm saying that I'd prefer not to let their quarterback stand around, eating a cheesburger and enjoying a soda after a play call like that. Show some anger, get fired up and hit someone. Same way I have no problem with brushing back / beaning the next batter after a hitter takes a slow walk to first on a homer.

That's not nice. Hawk loves you anyways. Good Karma will win games for him. Be positive. Your aura is so negative right now.

I'm not saying I don't I faith in Hawkins but the program isn't doing what I expected it would this year for sure. I think we need to put more money into it and get some real coaches. (offensive coordinator)

But you never know if a hit is going to be a season-ending one, especially if it's unexpected. Beaning the next batter is bush league too. As much as I dislike Daniel, he's not the douche calling the plays. Last time I checked, you don't audible a trick play.

Re: Assuming we ever have a good football team again (which appears to be a stretch..

Why the hate for Chase? He's done nothing to offend the Buffs other than playing way better than us the last 2 years.

I guess I'm from Saint Louis so I might be slightly biased but I see no reason to dislike Chase. It's not as if he's on NU or CSU...

Read some of his interviews. I guess not being chosen as the UT QB chapped his ass, but he has a major chip on his shoulder. He's not very gracious when he wins and he's a huge whiner when he loses. He doesn't let his play speak for itself which is sad because I think he's definitely one of the top QBs in the nation, for the last 3 years running too.

Re: Assuming we ever have a good football team again (which appears to be a stretch..

I haven't read any of his interviews. I'll check them out.

You've convinced me. Clearly, there is no appropriate mechanism available to remind the offensive coordinator / head coach of an opponent that they are involved in a football game with an actual Division One football team - a team worthy of respect.

Rather than getting angry, showing some emotion and dissatisfaction with the play-calling of hte other team, it would be best to share a post-game cup of tea and laugh about how potential recruits are going to feel about coming to play for a team that passively accepts a beating like tonight's.

Re: Assuming we ever have a good football team again (which appears to be a stretch..

**** you.

Actually it looks like we did the ****ing. Maybe next year though. See ya then. Maybe I'll stop in before then too. :smile2:

I have zero problem with Chase Daniel. My problem is with passively accepting a beating like tonight's. Permitting a team to get away with play-calling like that, without hitting them, without reminding them that they're involved in a game against an actual opponent worthy of respect, is an indication that our coaches and players don't believe in what they are doing and don't believe that, in year three, they are capable of competing with MU. That's MU, not Oklahoma, USC or Texas. It's the implicit acceptance of humiliation and losing to a program that we had better be able to compete with now - not a decade from now.

True enough. Well done. Enjoy your win. Good luck the rest of the season.

Keep on laughing Tiger. Ask yourself this question. If Blaine Gabbert couldn't hold onto his starting job in HS, what makes you so confident he'll kick ass at Mizzou?

Face it. You'll go back to being the Mizzou we all know and love once Daniel graduates.

You should come back when you win a Big 12 championship. Winning the Big12N doesn't mean ****. We won a few of them a few years back.

Congrats on the win. Good luck with the rest of your season....

Re: Assuming we ever have a good football team again (which appears to be a stretch..

I don't bitch about anyone running up the score. I half expect it in the world that is the college football rankings.

But is it really worth it to a coach to put your star players at risk? All it takes is for a pissed D-lineman or linebacker to lose control and cya Chase. Done for season.
