We can beat ISU and NU!

So maybe I am the only one but I really think we have a good shot at beating ISU at home and NU on the road. If we pull those two off then we are at 6 wins and ready for a bowl game. This doesn't even account for another shot at a win with Okie State even though that one doesn't look nearly as promising.

DScott will have to get more carries over the next few games which means we will probably do a little more power type running as I don't think our coaches are stupid enough to expect Scott to have any real success running out of the shotgun. I think they now know that the dual QB thing isn't working and will stick with Hansen for the most part.

**** 'em up, **** 'em up! GO CU!!!

If they stop playing Cody and let Hansen get a rhythm going with the offense, and the OL gels enough to start giving DS some holes, then with two more games (still think ISU is a win at home) to get better then maybe we have a chance at NU. If we win against ISU and NU, then I think many of the DH detractors will be temporarily sated for the year. If we lose all three games, then the fires will start burning DH in effigy. (and with CU tradition, the DH burned in effigy will be burned over a discarded couch).:smile2:

Momentum is a crazy thing and this is the first time we are really seeing Hawk's back against the wall. Last year the NU game was kind of like that but if we lost and we didn't make the bowl game it wasnt too big of a deal as he had improved from his first year.

This year if he wins two of his last three he will have the same record as last year with a much tougher schedule and that alone will at least buy him an offseason without any real chance of hearing about being fired. All he will have to do is have a winning record next year and he is set.

OTOH, lose more than one more game this year and the offseason may get rough and then don't start out too well next year and 09 may be his last season in Boulder.

ISU better be a win. The other two don't look promising. Okie Lite looks really good and will probably stomp us, while NU can actually score some points. That doesn't bode well for us, especially on the road, where we have been dreadful under Hawkins.

And some of you guys keep talking about Hawk being gone in 2009, and I wonder where the hell that is coming from. It ain't happening, unless CU suddenly comes up with an enormous chunk of change. Hawk is going to be in Boulder through 2010 no matter what happens next year.

Honestly I think you will beat ISUcks without a problem. They are really bad and if you lose that one I would be surprised as hell! I tend to disagree about the NU game for obvious reasons. :smile2:

As my posts indicate, I believe e are done ith the letter bet een U and X for the rest of the season.

hy? hat has Ioa State done that ould make you think e can't get a in this eek??

Personaly, I'm still hoping wwe wwil finish the season wwith twwo wwins, even though one loss to Okie Lite stil seems like something wwe can't avoid.

are you guys typing on a voice activated cell phone typing program?

Anyone who thinks we can't beat ISU and NU is one negative mofo! Both of those teams suck as bad or worse than we do. I would take our chances winning those two games over a coin toss to decide the winner.

BDC says rotating qb's will continue. People wonder why fans are tired of the bad coaching here. "Hey using 2 qb's gives us no rythym and doesn't work, let's keep doing it".

Nebraska can score,we can't. That is not negative, that's FACT.

NU is hit or miss, but they can score points. Any rational person knows they are a better team right now, and they're certainly a good bet to beat us in Lincoln. That is not being negative, it is being a realist.

The other factor is the Buffs poor road record under Hawkins.

I didn't think we'd beat NU at the beginning of the season and the Buffs certainly haven't done much to change my opinion about that.

We can beat ISU and NU, in 2009. Not to be negative or anything like that but I just don't think we're good enough right now as a team or together enough as a team to pull it off.

I think CU can beat ISU and NU. I doubt they beat both unless there is a significant fire lit under them. The Buffs just don't look good right now and IMO they got outcoached badly Saturday. When the other team comes out and lights you up right after the half, it's usually because they are exploiting some thing they saw in the first half and you aren't adjusting yourself.

I think we beat Iowa St and Okie St at home:thumbsup:. Get embarrassed in stinkoln.

I just have this feeling about Okie st, FYI i'm sober

I hear ya there....we definately have a better shot against the Cowboys at home than the Fuskers on the road...we're a completely different team at home vs. the road

To win games in the Big XII you need to be able to score more than 17 points a game. I see nothing out of CU that makes me think the offense will do that.

CU might be able to beat ISU at home 17-14, but they are going to need to score at least 28 at NU on the road.

Okie State will but up at least 30 against CU-meaning we have a 0% chance.

It's not hat ISU has done it's the complete lack of spirit & fire in our Buffs. ISU kno s e are their best chance at a in so they will be fired up but e seem to be hoping the season ill end soon. The captians need to squash that attitude and lead this team but I don't see them doing that.

 I get negative rep for posting "Nebraska can score we can't" "That's not being negative,it's FACT".

Whoever gave me the cowardly anonymous rep,if your that sensitive, stop posting, f***ing LAME.

I fully expect us to beat ISU and the NU game could go either way, but anyone who pays any attention to both teams would give the lean to NU at this point.

Okay, ISU I agree with, but what in gods name when make you think NU is worse than the Buffs right now? If they were, I would admit as I'm realistic about things. We aren't outstanding, but we don't suck either??? Must be some great stuff your smoking. :smokin:

*ebraska is a better team than CU right now. That's not being negative, it's being truthful. We have gotten progressively worse as the season has gone on. Our offense is completely inept, and our defense gives up very untimely points. I'd say that CU is better than only KSU and ISU. I would have said A&M, but that's obviously wrong, too.

It's something we must say here, we can't admit we are worse, kind of an agreemnet so to speak.

I think ISU is very winnable, OSU not winnable and at lincoln, slightly winnable.

5-7 is what i'm thinking.

Until we prove we can score more than 17 points, no game is a give me. Some of the defenses we've been play are bad. Not kind of bad but really bad. Baylor put up over 400 yards on Mizzou. KSU's defense is a joke.

I will cheer for them Buffs the rest of the way out and go into each week thinking they have a chance to win. Until Hawk and Co convince me that they can actually get something moving on offense, I'm not going to start planning on a trip to a bowl game.

While we are talking about beating NU and OSU (lol), how many of you will be genuinely surprised to see CU lose to ISU? We probably will be favored and I will be there screaming with the rest of the student section but walking home with an L will not be something I am surprised - or, at this point, even really upset with - at this point.

I'd be really ****in pissed off...granted I wouldn't put it past the realm of possibilities of this team....but I'd prolly get kicked out for foul language if we end up losing to these ISU clowns
