I'm sick of this ****. I do not give a **** that ****ing okie state is No. 11. I'm sick of being a god damned loser. Dan Hawkins better turn this **** around next season!

All of that pissy stuff being said, I think Hawk feels the same way. And I think this team is close to turning it around. I believe we will be a much different team next year. I believe the injury bug hit us about as badly as it could hit anyone. I think we will be much more solid, personel wise, next year.

But we've been losing for 5 frigging years now and I can't take it anymore.

I hear you... Although I disagree with the team is close to turning it around.. I don't see NFL type talent out there on the field..

Well, I think we will have major upgrades next year. The O-Line, the line backers, the receivers, the running backs, the quarterback, will all be much better than they were tonight.

I t will turn around next year if we can stay healthy, how do we end up with miller, tuioti, stewart and smith healthy?

New blood at LB with katoa, major, rippy next year should help.

Problem is, hawk won't get rid of any coaches and riddell is a no brainer.Helfrich?

The most disapointing aspect to this season has been the offensive play calling. Now, maybe we are limited by personel, but it just sucks. I do think it begins with the O-line, though.

Say what you will about the coaching staff, but our D coordinator has done a pretty damn good job this year considering the circumstances. I also thought the play calling tonight was pretty decent, though there were WAY too many broken plays happening. Who's that fall on, the O coordinator or big Dan?

Our rush defense has been awful as well as our tackling. Our LB's haven't made much of an impact other than mohler. We shouldn't be giving up 200 yds rushing with our dt's we have and depth at LB.

Stewart? Scott? Dykes? Walters? MTM?

Should I continue?

Based on what? Walters and Dykes in the NFL? You've got to be kidding me..

Scott? What's he done other than being the #1 ranked running back coming out of high school?

Stewart is the only maybe I'll give you..

MTM? played one game against CSU and you got him in the NFL? Wow..

U guys are seriously drinking the kool-aid on our talent level especially on these young guys.. You guys are projecting that all of these guys are going to improve just because they are young.. That doesn't always happen..

Next year is the year that will tell us what Hawk is all about. If we are 6-6 team next year then there isn't anything showing that this staff holds much promise for the future. They will get another chance in 2010 but after that, I feel like this staff will be on its way out if they keep going 6-6 or worse... Might be looking at a coaching search by 2011 or whenever that contract is up.

Now if we can hit the 8-4 or better, then the momentum will start building and perhaps build quickly. I think and hope that the 8-4 type year is next year and Hawk will be able to rip off a few years in the top 25.

Either way, alot of questions about this program will finally be able to be answered next season... This year though, it's still to early.

I was highly impressed with the first couple of series and the play calling. We were running stuff and had different formations then I had seen all year.

Then in the second half, it seemed like we were running the same 4-5 plays.

How can you say Simas and Katoa? They were the idots who couldnt stay either above a 2.0 GPA and couldnt stop from literally kicking ass. It is very possible that Simas doesnt get eligable again this year for next, then what? Do we keep him on the "What could have been list". The season was over after Mizzou. The team has somewhat quit and the coaching staff obviously doesnt give a damn or else they would call the plays that worked for big yardage (fake to FB pitch to RB, HB screen) more often and get that ****ty gimick offense we call the "Spread" out of here. Hopefully next year will be the time we shine but if we dont get rid of any coaches than I see a very minimal change. Why would they change our "offense" because of who we have playing? They didnt do that at the start of the season, we had a steady running game but we would always throw the ball. We have a WR who can beat you deep and a TE who is always, ALWAYS, open down the middle yet we throw 3 yard outs.

I hope that we see a change in 09, I hate to sound cliche, but I'll believe it when I see it.

You're right, maybe not NFL caliber talent, but certainly most of our D1 stand-out talent is in the training room.

You can't just flip a switch and get NFL talent on your team.

I agree the coaches have struggled this year, but this game is on the players not executing. Silly mistakes cost us, as they will in football, but our coaches called a pretty good game today.

Next year needs to be a big improvement, and I believe it will be.

Beat NU and we go bowling! That's would be nice.

and couldnt stop from literally kicking ass.

I'm sorry, I must have missed that. I know Katoa beat the kid thoroughly with his fists, and maybe a rock. Did he turn him around and use his foot against his backside as well?

Let's look at it for what it is. The team is destroyed by injuries, we're in the latter part of the season, we're tired, we're struggling, we're frustrated. But once again, look at it for what it is... We're a bad team, who had no business hanging with that team (who is better on every side of the ball). And we fought, we hung, and I never doubted the heart and effort by the team today.

Friggin literary genious.

I'd settle for CU fielding all conference. Having 5-6 players in contention for a few national awards that don't include the word "freshman" will be a refreshing change.

As for last night, CU did better than the spread and did it without Dykes and Scott and all the known gimps. Walters and J-Fly were less than 100%.

Really, the only fanbase who should feel good about last night's performance is the Sooners, who saw an OSU team figuratively not firing on all cylinders coming into Bedlam.

or maybe we choose not to put on our feathered hats and prognosticate like the grand poohbah of cfb when we know NOTHING yet of what will be on the table next year? are we healthy?

i prefer to wait until a little spring ball is played before conceeding next year.

The real reason we lost is because DBT doesn't care enough. Way to ruin it for everyone.

Way to go DBT. Ruin it for everyone. Jeez.:smile2:
