so, with our Buffs a bit ragged around the edges, what other teams do you make a point to watch?

my top 3 (in no order):

usc. i live out here and they are so damned talented. they are very fun to watch. their o-coordinator this year is suspect, but their d is nails and petey is a great recruiter.

boise state. i have made a fortune in the last 5 years betting on bsu to cover. even before hawk came to CU, i watched a lot of bsu. they couldn't match up week in and week out in the bigs, but they execute very well. and, now, it is fun to see what our offense is *supposed* to look like.

oklahoma. stoops is an arrogant turd, but they are a very well coached bunch. and, stoops adjusts his plan to fit the strengths of his players. they play hard and effectively.

I find it hard to watch any other games seriously. I'll flip the channels and catch parts of some games. But I can't watch a full game. At least with regular season games.

Other than the Buffs, I'll follow whoever is hot.

I enjoyed OSU dismantle Mizzou, Tech beat UT and blow out OSU. The OU-TT game was must see TV. So was the Alabama-LSU game and the SEC CCG. But none of those teams draw any alligiance.

SC - Going back to the days of Sam "The Bam" Cunningham

Sooners - I always did get a kick out of Switzer's big arrogant mouth

AFA - I grew up West of Colorado Springs and used to follow the "Zoomies" on TV and in the Gazette

Gators - I liked Spurrier's offense and still like what Meyer is doing.

Ducks - Belotti's kids usually put on a pretty good show

Outside the buffs, I like to root for the under dog. Boise State is usally fun to watch.

I hope your not inferring that Boise State is an "under dog"? I'm sick of hearing about Boise State...they play one of the nations easiest schedules yet every year they make it deep into the top 25. CU is sucking Big Foots $%& right now, but do you honestly believe they would beat CU, even on the blue turf?? One ranked team on their whole schedule and they aren't very good. Idaho's, New Mexico, Nevada, LA Tech, Bowling Green....it's a joke...an absolute joke and a farce that they get to be considered for a BCS bowl. An even bigger mockery of the system.

I am a BSU homer and I agree with you to a large extent. I wish they would go to the Mtn West but for some reason that is not happening - I think because the other sports don't draw the fans like football. The wrestling team (the best BSU team no one knows about) competes in the pack 10. I think alot of us would like a tougher non conference schedule. That said they are a well oiled machine. And yes I think now they would beat CU on the Blue this year.

I think that as long as these non BCS schools are competitive in BCS games, they should be allowed to play. Obviously Hawaii bombed miserably, but BSU and Utah have performed well.

Do I think BSU could beat CU? Yes! They're pretty similar talent wise (there are some exceptions) and CU lacks the organization that BSU has........at this point and time. Out of 10 games, BSU would win 6 of them......this year. Over the next couple of years though, CU's win total would go up but BSU would still win a couple of times.

I don't like the comparisions to BSU, CSU, Utah, or BYU. They play in different conferences and have a total set of different circumstances that makes the comparison an apples and oranges situation.

I enjoy watching other Big 12 games. I really don't get excited watching Big 10 teams and some of the other eastern conferences. The PSU/MSU game yesterday, although a big game, did nothing for me.

Generally, I watch and slightly root for the teams my buddies root for. This includes Northwestern, South Carolina, Utah and Arizona. But I don't see why people are hating on BSU. They should schedule tougher OCGs, but I think I've heard before they have a tough time doing that because people don't want to play them. Further, its not like the Big East or ACC has been rocking the casbah in the last few years. Sorry, sorry conferences. I think all of college football needs to be reorganized. Threads to follow.

In a not very close second, I'll put the Broncos. But if you are talking NCAA, umm, can't come up with any.

I like watching SEC football in general, particularly Florida right now. Texas was awesome to watch when they had Vince.

I enjoy watching USC, ND, Ohio State lose. When USC plays I will usually watch just in hopes that they lose - which is rare.

Games like last night I will usually watch if I'm not doing anything else.

Penn State: 3 real good buddies who went there. quality guys, seemed like a good education.

OU, loved the wishbone QBs. went to a few games in the 80's with my step-dad (who is a big OU guy).

Vanderbilt: went there for a year, too expensive and too southern...but OK. not for me, but i still have friends.

Just about any big game since I love college football so much. SEC game because they always seem to be so intense and the atmosphere is great. Also, most Big 12 games because it's CU's conference. I dedicate my Saturday's to watching college football, while on Sunday's I just reserve time for the Bronco game and generally just keep track of the other games while I'm doing stuff around the house.

OU. Aside from OU, I like watching SEC games. It always seems like there's so much at stake in every one of those games. Their fans are passionate, and the football is usually pretty good. Lots of neat tradition in the SEC, too.

Living in FL I get a chance to watch the Gators every saturday down here. I never really sat down and watched them before moving out here. I am amazed how much speed that team has. Meyer has a stockpile of talent!

I enjoy watching and rooting against ND, LSU, Ohio ST, FL, USC, and I've also enjoyed watching Mich. fall apart the last couple of years.

I enjoy watching:

1) The Big 12
2) Air Force
3) USC
4) West Virginia
5) Anyone beat Notre Dame
6) Michigan have its worst season ever
7) Any bowl game, any time or day of the week, no matter what sponsor ("It's the most wonderful time of the year")

PS - I also love watching archived Buffs games.

I am all about the upsets no matter how big (however I wouldnt consider OU over TT an upset) I mean like Cuse over ND, Ole Miss over LSU etc. I also like close games at the end as long as ND, OSu, kNU etc dont come out on the winning end of that.

**** OU.

I like to watch Air Force run that offense of theirs and Georgia Tech's option is a nice change from this spread crap that has infested college football. Texas is interesting to watch too.

When I was a kid I liked to watch USC all of the time - I went to a Catholic School and everyone was a ND fan so I went against the tide.

Anymore I am so invested in CU football that I don't watch much else. For home games I am usually at the game hours before KO tailgating so I don't have much opportunity to watch other teams and when the Buffs are away I am either riveted to the TV or Radio. So I have few interests outside of the Buffs.

having lived out in NE for almost 8 years...and having so many husker friends, i have learned to love to follow the huskers very closely. i NEVER root for them...but i love to follow them.
