Texas gets the hose again

i dont think that was a hosing. i think bradford had a great season and was as deserving as any of them.

I wouldn't refer to it as a 'hosing' either.

I was impressed with each of the finalists, on and off of the field. They each strike me as well grounded fine young men.

Colt will likely get a good look at winning it next year. I hope the best for him, but really didn't want to see him back for obvious reasons.

If Sam and Tim don't turn pro, it could be the same 3 on the stage again.....

I guess we see why Harrel wasn't invited to the festivities. It was a three horse race for sure.

This means Florida wins the MNC. Heisman winners historically play like garbage in their bowl game.

I was surprised because I really thought that Tebow was gonna win. I figured that McCoy and Bradford would split the votes in the midwest and western regions.

Was Billy Sims yelling "Boomer" after Bradford won it?

One of those jack A's was....it was an embarrassment.....

And yes.....UT was hosed again.

fwiw..... no its not an embarrassment, but you wouldn't understand that being on the outside looking in, and I cant explain being on the inside looking out....

how does losing an individual award hose UT? maybe Colt was hosed, but he wasn't the best QB in the Big XII this year or last year... it is Sam Bradford...

only time will tell...... even though a small part of me was wanting Tebow to win, much like 2000 when Josh Heupel was 2nd to Chris Weinke and we all know Josh was the better of those two that year.....

not that OU's defense had much to do with how Weinke played in the 2000 MNC game....

You may not be embarrassed, but I cringed.

And Bradford certainly seemed to be.

which is why he answered "sooner" twice? yep. pure embarrassment.

He only answered sooner after it became apparent that that guy was not going to shut up until someone did. And he wasn't very emphatic about it, was he?

Who were the two guys who chatted on the side throughout the entire acceptance speech? I thought that was a bit disrespectful.

This award is the kiss of death....Colt should be happy he did not win. He will actually have a chance to make it in the pros!

 not empathetic to the back and horth hollerin of his childhood fave team? ooohhhh kay.

you must have missed pics of him in #20, and the part where he said he was "living the dream."

he has been chanting "boomer sooner" for far longer than you are choosing to remember. i saw it as he was very gracious in his win and might not have expected it.

Who cares? Tebow's and Colt's childhood stories were far more interesting than Bradford's.

I was just thinking something along those lines.

While maybe not the kiss of death, can anyone name 3 Heisman winners off the top of their head in the last 20 years that went on to have stellar pro careers?

I can't.

Geez, take a smartass statement and get all serious.

For whatever reason, Heisman winners have a tough time in the pros. I'm sure Bradford is happy to win it though.

replace "smartass" with "whinyassed" and you may have a point. that buff is having a first class nosebleed over it.

many heisman winners do struggle in the pros. it is hardly an absolute. and for gawds sake, it is in poor taste to pick a kid apart whose only crime is a love of the game.

Who cares? Tebow's and Colt's childhood stories were far more interesting than Bradford's.

do you need a kleenex? or some cheese to go with your whine?

Hey...everything I say here is 100% serious...no smart ass comments from me!
