Matt Lepsis...incredible story

So it seems only the sick get healed, those who are well need no physician. He takes all who make the appointment. Consistent with the doctrine and I give thanks and glory to the Power in Matt's life. Amen

Why does this story not shock me? Glad that he got his life turned around!

I don't know why this story doesn't shock you. Why don't you share? I'm serious in my solicitation. What aspect of this story did you find routine?

So I am not reallly up on the drug scene, was he taking pain killers? Do those type of drugs typically make you more of a socialite?

Glad to see he is straight now... Amazing how someone who is "high" can play at the level he was last year. As I remember he was playing very well.

Addicts are able to do many things, sometimes very well, whilst high. It's doing those things without being high that we have issues with.

No, pain killers dont make you any more social. I could see them being a benefit on the playing field tho, especially for a guy in the trenches. They are addictive as hell too.

Didn't the story say he suffered from social anxiety? Numbing up on pain killers could have alleviated his anxitey...not the most effective method, but clearly he was self-medicating.

God Bless him. He always did seem a bit shy in social settings but nothing that I would characterize as a problem and I lived with him for a semester. Great athlete and his story will inspire many people. I envy him in that he will be truly in the people-helping business now. I had a pastor who attended Dallas Seminary and I still consider him to be one of the biggest blessings in getting my own post-football life in order. No doubt, Matt's history and story will give him a great platform for starting a ministry.
