rumor has it we might play ole miss on a thursday night for espn... where did this come from... i found it on rivals and people seem to give it legs...

Unless this is a swap for the West Virginia game I don't like it. We need to come out smokin next year and playing Ole Miss is a taking a big chance.

I know the exposure is good but if things work out the right way we can be 4-0 and heading for a good season.

With the new rules, can't you play 13 games under certain circumstances?

If you play at Hawaii.

Who knows if this is true, but it really would be a classic CU move, which is why I'm not discounting the possibility.

But why would Ole Missus be up for it?

I think it'd have to be at Folsom as we've already got so few home games next year.

Please, NO, I am planning on going to Morgantown.:bang:

Are you sure you aren't confused? We do play in Oxford next year... Oxford, Ohio; the location of Miami (OH) University:fragez:

i know miami is in oxford ohio... however the post on rivals said oxford Mississippi because espn wants Ole Miss to get another big conference team to play against

I guess we´d most likely be looking at a game on October 1st (Thursday) or October 3rd as both schools don´t have an opponent penciled in on that date yet, but then we have 12 games scheduled already whereas Ole Miss only has 11 (6 home games).

Colorado
9/5 CSU
9/12 @ Miami, OH
9/19 Wyoming
9/26 @ West Virginia
10/3 OPEN DATE
10/10 @ Texas

Ole Miss
9/5 @ Memphis
9/12 Southeastern LA
9/19 @ Vanderbilt
9/26 @ South Carolina
10/3 TBA

Their only other scheduled OOC game is UAB on 10/17

****. This. Plan. A trip to a SEC stadium is exactly what this young team does not need to start off the season.

Pardon the pun but if this is true ESPN needs to find another sacrificial lamb to play Ole Miss. This is on a Thursday night and the folks at the grove would be rockin. This would be Ole Miss's coming out party for their Heisman trophy candidate and national championship aspirations. Not only is that a guaranteed L, that's probably at least two players that would be lost to injury for multiple weeks. Bohn and co. should pass on this.......

Ole Miss will be good as along as Nutt is coaching Coach O's players. The Grove is a great place to tailgate and Ole Miss has some real talent. ESPN has tried a couple of buyouts in the SEC (UA/Duke and I saw some LSU/tomato can game on one of their boards) to get more SEC on since they bought the rights to SEC football for the next year. If you are tired of the SEC now wait until ESPN broadcasts all the games except CBS.

what does cbs have left except for the odd bowl game if espn gets the sec rights?

****, just write off the season & hit the training table & weight room, right?

Appreciate the sarcasm

No just don't play a top 5 team at their place on national tv when your team is trying to gain some momentum and figure out where all the pieces are going to fit. There's nothing to accomplish playing Mississippi right now other than a national tv appearance and a payday.

I like the non conference schedule that's already in place.
