Bernard Jackson and Lionel Harris sentenced

I'm curious as how they ever thought armed robbery was a good idea? They were seemingly two pretty decent kids and then bam! This bull****. I echo the thought of them getting their lives turned around.

wait a buff fan in the boulder county justice department??!?!?!?!?!?1 HELL HAS FROZEN OVER!!!

Seriously though they got off light and I feel like they wont do anything remotely like this i feel confident they will get there **** together and and become productive members of society

One year for armed robbery, albeit mitigated by the lack of priors, does seem pretty light. Some really bad chit could have gone down. These two should be thanking the judge for his leniency.

I agreed. Despite their affiliations with CU, they should have gotten ALOT more time than this. Armed Robbery is a violent crime and should not be tolerated despite the lack of priors.

well jackson had some pretty egregious priors... like his qb play  im a bad person... but as i said about i also think he knows he ****ed up and will learn his lesson

and another thing i'm tired of people who claim a criminal should be locked away for a long long long time for committing a crime shouldn't be allowed a 2nd chance

i think they got off very, very light considering the fact they used a gun in act of committing a felony.

me personally 25 years minimum is what they deserve with no chance of parole, maybe even life. their prior history bears no relevance to the fact they used a gun to commit the felony. as long as "punishing" individuals who use guns in the act of committing a felony with such "severe" penalties as these two received, the problems of guns and violence will continue in this country....

moving to the political forum now in 3, 2, 1.....

While I firmly believe that opportunity for rehabilitation and redemption should be part of nearly every sentence, I can't agree with you on this one. These guys used guns to steal **** that didn't belong to them. What part of that says "light sentence" to you BCS?

These guys only feel bad because they got caught. Genuine repentence might come in time, but they need to face some hard truths about who they are and what they've done before they're to become productive members of society.

I really, really disagree with you on this one. I suspect you'd be singing a very different tune if you were victimized by this kind of crime. What they did, to quote Fred Durst, was "The real-mother-deal y'all!"

WTF? Why not just chop off their right arm for the first offense, left arm for the second, and so on?

that will work for me too along with the death penalty.... (j/k) :smile2:

I stand behind,, in front and beside what I say and believe.... these 2 individuals used a firearm (gun) during the course of committing a felony act against another human.... because they used said firearm, (or knife, club, scissors or any weapon of choice) the penalty needs to be harsher and more severe than 4 years, one if they behave and do the right things while in prison...

sorry I feel this country has become way to lax in the punishment of convicted felons, especially those that use firearms while commiting the act of the felony....

I agree. I think the punishment was far too lenient.

I agree the sentence was lenient, but if we jail everyone that uses a gun while commiting a felony we'll be unable to feed the bast****.... holy crap.... I don't know how were going to pay for all the boomers medical expenses, and now were going to incarcerate every gun-toting felon.

You all realize that the same media you are expecting to give you the "true story" of what Jackson & Harris did are the same that you were punking about the CU recruiting scandel, right?

IMO, NEVER trust the media to give you both sides in a criminal situation.

Yep, if you're gonna give 25 years to every armed robber you better start breaking ground on more prisons tomorrow.

i dont disagree with either of you about prison space.... and I am going to stop right here or this will get moved to the politcal forum....

Feed 'em green baloney, that's what Sheriff Joe does...

Or release the petty criminals...the dope dealers for starters.

...assuming those guys don't protect their illegalities with guns...

BJ's and LH's new job...Making these

Unfortunately felons don't really ever get a chance to turn their life around in our society unless they are entertainers, professional athletes, or one of the other privileged few that don't rely on traditional means of employment.

That being said, robbing people at gunpoint is amazingly stupid, particularly when the people you are robbing know who you are.

Selling dope is a felony but most of it isn't done with a weapon.

Trust me, i have a little "inside information" on this.:wink2:

it all depends on the type of "dope" and quanity of the dope if guns are involved I believe. trust me on this, I have "inside information".....:smile2:

unless you are refering to the "bag" dealer, just selling enough to be able to :smokin: for free or little cost at all to them....
