Scout has us ranked at 58

58. Colorado 2008 Record: 5-7 2008 Final CFN Season Rank: 76
This will finally be the year Colorado finally starts to turn the corner under head coach Dan Hawkins … maybe. The offense that was so bad last year will at least be more experienced with nine starters returning, led by QB Cody Hawkins. The defense loses all-star tackle

With a relatively easy OOC schedule, a healthy O-line, and key conference games at home, 8-4 is very doable.

Guys like Conrad Obi and Eugene Goree ... maybe Nick Kasa, are key. D-Line will tell the story imo.

Just really shows how little people fallow CU... this is not the first guy to tag the offense as led by Cody Hawkins, and failed to mention our platoon of running backs.

How does Michigan at 3-9 rank above Colorado 5-7?
They've lost a ton of guys, both from last year's team and some top recruits decommitted, too.

I don't get it. (But I rarely do.)

57. Michigan 2008 Record: 3-9 2008 Final CFN Season Rank: 97
As bad as things were last year, they can’t get any worse offensively. Four games were lost by a touchdown or less, including the opening day defeat to Utah. For good or bad, ten starters are back on offense, but the defense takes a huge hit with Tim Jamison, Terrence Taylor, and Will Johnson gone off the line. Three starters are gone off the back seven, but star punter Zoltan Mesko is back.

The offense that was so bad last year will at least be more experienced with nine starters returning, led by QB Cody Hawkins. The defense loses all-star tackle George Hypolite and two other starters up front, but five starters return in the back seven.

Side note: UM offered a Florida kicker instead of Zach Grossnickle (he camped there, but is higher ranked than their guy). Their FL kicker said in an interview after he committed, "I'm not worried about kicking in the cold, I visited and it wasn't much different weather than Florida."

Yeah. I bet. In July.
I'm glad we have another specialist coming who has some experience in cold-weather games.

They seem to miss the fact that several of those starters returning are actually RETURNING, as in coming back after being out of the lineup last year. There is more reason to think the offense will be improved than simply just more experience...

When the nicest thing that can be said about your defense is that you'll at least have a kickass punter, I think that's a bad sign....

It was probably either that or that they have hired Greg Robinson as Defensive Coordinator. I think I would talk up the punter too.

#2 OU
#3 Texas
#5 OSU
Big 12 getting alot of respect - or I really should say the Big 12 South

Careful. You don't mess with the Zoltan.
