STILLWATER — Oklahoma State athletic director Mike Holder confirms that the date of this year's Colorado-OSU football game has been changed to accommodate ESPN.

The Buffaloes and Cowboys had been scheduled to meet on Nov. 21 at Boone Pickens Stadium. The game has been moved to Thursday, Nov. 19 and will be televised by ESPN. Kickoff is set for 6:45 p.m.

The Nov. 19 game is preceded by OSU's Nov. 14 home meeting with Texas Tech. For Colorado, the Nov. 19 Stillwater game is preceded by a Nov. 14 game at Iowa State.

By switching the Colorado contest to Nov. 19, the Cowboys will gain two additional days of preparation for the Nov. 28 Bedlam game at Oklahoma.

This sucks for me. I had OSU on my calender this year, but a Thursday game will be hard to attend.

Rather be the Buffs playing ISU on the road than OSU playing TTech at home in the warmup.

I think I'm a player. SWA from Dallas has flights into Tulsa and OKC every hour.
I'll try to fly up Thurs around noon, and if work is tough, it would still be possible to return to the salt mines on-time Friday AM.

Last trip to Sillywater: 42-0 Buffs.

It sucks for the Buffs that they have to travel to Ames then come home for a short week to travel to Stillwater. That's a pretty serious disadvantage in my mind. OSU has a tougher game the week before, but at least they are at home. I don't like this move at all.

Ya, but on the bright side it gives them an extra couple days to get ready for the fuskers.

nuff said about the whole game change......

I like how you ignore the line that says the game was changed to accomodate ESPN.

when it comes to Bedlam, ESPN is a after thought, secondary in nature..... its all about the extra 2 days that Okie Lite has to prepare for the Sooners in Norman and trying to win this game...

Okie lites fans would be estatic and call it a successful season if the Pokes went 1-11 for the year with the one victory coming against the Sooners....

ya they are called tornadoes...:smile2: oklahoma is full of them each year...:wow:

Mmmmm, tornados...

Which is a good trade-off because in previous years we had a bye week before knu, so there was 13 days from our next-to-last game until the fusker game. But with the way the schedule worked out this year we don't have that bye week before knu.
