Saw Katoa

I was biking to muenzinger, and i saw Katoa walking with MTM. All i have to say is that Katoa needs to see the field next year. He pretty much is the biggest person i have ever seen. He was pretty much as big as MTM.

I've never said this before, and I assure you I'm not making a joke:

He looked like a physical specimen in his mugshot last year. His physical development just in his neck and shoulders was remarkable when compared to his high school recruiting photos.

I hope he earns his shot.

I have two questions:

How did MTM look? Limp? Crutches? Cane?

How was the ride?

If he is as big as MTM then he us huge. MTM is one of the biggest players I've seen on campus

This picture is from the spring game last year. I'm not as small as it looks but these guys were still much bigger than me.

Well, being that scott is a row above you and you're standing in the walking part of the isle, of course they look bigger:smile2:

MTM is 6-4 315, last I checked katoa was 6-1/6-2 and 225. That's a slight difference as to what the other poster stated.

i mean, they were walking together, and they pretty much looked like if they were to lay down, katoa would almost have as much surface area covered compared to mtm. mtm had a black heavy duty brace thing around his knee. he was probably limping, but katoa was sorta infront of him from my perspective. katoa is huge, like has nfl linebacker written all over him, because he looks as big as a door frame.

A man the size of a mountain shouldn't need a rock in any fight.

Hope he gets cleared to play.

i believe he is cleared to play. he needs to make grades. its in his hands now, if my understanding of the situation is correct.

Too much has been made of this. He was simply crushing the rock in his hands to remove persperation so his hand would be dry when he was trying to grip the guys head for a shotput throw.

In all seriousness, I hope he can get things straight, or he will end up being a bouncer somewhere instead of the professional playing ball.

Why do people nit pick on Katoa? I have never seen him given any "Love" by C.U fans.. I for one was hoping for the best and still do! Kick some ass lynn on the field for the Buffs. I for one am proud you chose C.U. and can't wait for you to nail a Husker :slayer:

Hey! I love the guy!
I also can't wait to see him on the field, looking fierce in the black and gold.

The more I think about Katoa and how people give him crap :sad1: the more i get pissed off.. He is a Buff, one of of us! Hawkens let him into the family . Thanks Jasper for supporting the young man!

Hey, all I know about the guy is he is full of potential but made some really bad decisions and now can't seem to make the grades. I hope it works for him too but he has to stop shooting himself in the foot.

If someone is going to take up a scholarship, they could at least not get in trouble, and maintain a GPA that keeps them in school. If not, then hit the road and let someone else take that full ride.

Timbuff "shooting himself in the foot" I think he has shot one round..If Lynn has done some other "Stuff" I think this is rumor mill crap from CSU/Husker Suck pumps. As long as the Hawk has him on the team I have hope

I don't know how much stock I would put into this but, a poster from the other site said he talked to katoa (has previous to this also) week to 2 weeks ago and said katoa expects to play and is excited to get out there in 2009.

I don't put much stock into it but we'll see, I hope he does play and tears it up.

Buffsyko: YOU ARE THE MAN.. good news about Katoa#$%^ NO more of this crap that has dogged him.. Go Buffs, and KATOA

Well obviously he isn't going to kick him off the team now after standing by him throgh the assault thing last year. If he had grade problems before, then I am guessing he was on academic probation from last fall, and now he has to get the GPA up over a 2.0 by the end of this semester. I am sure it can be done and I am pulling for him, but at the same time, if the grades aren't up by the end of this semester then that is at least strike 2, and probably strike 3.

Most people I dealt with at CU that got on ac-pro learned their lesson that first semester and went on to do very well in school after that. Sometimes all people need is a good wakeup call and they are hot to trot after that.

He has been given several chances, I hope he gets it done this time and he flourishes here. We need our 4 star recruits to come in and produce.

Easy man, it's from the other site and I haven't seen it posted anywhere else so take it with a grain of salt. I'm not one to get my hopes up with this situation but I hope it has some truth to it, that would be great.
