I was only able to stay for little over an hour (homework) so this recap will be short
Notes:
They practiced outside the bubble today for the first time. This really helps a lot IMO. The offense can stay on one field, and the defense on the other. They don't have to bunch together and share the same field. It was a beautiful day...nice to catch some Spring Ball. There were no injuries that I saw!!
Jon Major was practicing for the first time. He had a nice big knee brace on and looked hesitant out there. He does look pretty big tho. Sipili is HUGE. I think we'll see a different Sipili then in year's past. The LB's were working a lot on stripping the ball.
I saw Ray Polk doing some non-contact work...interesting since he wasn't supposed to participate in Spring Ball...
The biggest news today IMO was Ryan Miller and Matt Bahr were NOT in pads. They were dressed but didn't participate in any drills. Neither appeared to be visibly injured.... THe OL is still doing the snapping drills.
Simas looked impressive again today. IMO...if it weren't for last year, you would not know J-Fly is one of the best players on the team. He either has a nagging injury or is soft. He seems to take himself out of drills a lot grabbing his side or half-limping.
For those conspiracy theorists, Hansen and Ballenger both got to work with the #1 Offense. During the 11 on 11's, the offense looked very sloppy. There were a couple dropped passes. Hansen couldn't find a receiver and didn't run right away, so that's a plus I suppose. None of the QB's looked great today IMO (this was all before 5:15 when I left).
DeVaughn Thornton, Quentin Hildreth, a walk-on TE I believe, and 2010 LG Austin Schuefele were in attendance. Watch Schuefele's vid on youtube, pretty impressive. That's all I could remember. Anyone feel free to add more. Go Buffs
