My interest level is higher. I never went to Spring Games until I got interested through the off-season/spring discussions on the other site and here.

This site has really helped me keep in touch with the Buffs when I lived in Steamboat and now ND. I'm probably a greater fan for it.

Prior to this board, my tailgates consisted of just me and my Dad.

hell ya, we all are better fans for being here.

Yea, I follow the team much more closely since I started using AB, and I catch alot more info by being on here that I might have otherwise missed just reading the papers. It also helps me remain close to the program even though I've moved away.

How many do you get now?

It usually depends on the game. We'll get one game a year that has about 40 people. FSU was that game in 2007, and UT last year. At a minimum, we'll get somewhere in the area of 8-10 folks showing up. On average, I'd say we get 10-15 people who come by in some manner, shape or form. They're usually not there from beginning to end, but a lot of "hey, just stopping by to say hello" types. When LB and UBT show up, they always manage to bring along some kind of posse, which is fun. Regulars are Wspy, FC, BuffWoman & DD, BCS, FIB, Loblaw, Valdez, ITB, Highflyer and me. Off the top of my head, I'd say we've managed to get a good group of allbuffers at the tailgates at least once. MSBuff, SD Buff, SJBuff, Chippy, 66, Philly, Beltway, NYBUFFDiehard, 4Dem, and several others have all stopped by at one point or another. Philly stole my damn grill. :pissed:

edit: and I'll add that snow showed up once and I treated him like a real human being.

I think i stopped by once... however, I was so wasted that I think Wspy had to push me around

There was a stretch of games in 07 that just kicked my ass. I remember stumbling into the Missouri game. Which was probably a good thing, because we freaking sucked in that game. By the time the game ended, I was sober again. I think the game sobered me up.

The Florida State game was when Beltway brought that bottle of Glennfiddich. Think me and a couple others drank about half of it, and then it took over a year for the other half to go away. The FSU '07 and WVU '08 games were my stumble into Folsom games.

scotch scotch scotch scotchy scotch scotch i like scotch down in my belly yum yum yum

This is the best buffs site period. Much more football talk and knowledgable posters here. People can let loose and most people can dish and take some ribbing.

Much better site than the other that I frequent.

The practices being closed is lame, hawk hates the internet but pi$$ing off fans isn't a good thing. Me, no matter, the updates are nice and how much more info are we really getting anyway?

Maybe it was the reporting on the jersey number changes...that was the secret edge the Buffs were counting on next year.

Depends on your definition of "better Buff fan". I love reading this site and talking about the Buffs, but the fact is that the athletic department doesn't get anymore of my money because of this site. I'd still watch games on TV and buy Buff gear whether the fan sites existed or not.

So, from their perspective, I'm probably not a better Buff fan

This lockdown is right up your alley. Unless the news involves improving that 13-24 record, it's all spin and fluff, right?

Hey. **** you!

I was a huge fan before the internet. :smile2: Waiting for the game results to come over the wire kind of sucked.

I really doubt my fandom would consist of more than checking box scores without this board and the people I have met on here.

If you bleed the black & gold like all of us do here at allbuffs, you come to this site to read about whats up with the Buffs. And your going to be a better fan for it. I know I am!

maybe not your money, but it sure as hell gets MORE money. For one thing, AB is a season ticket holder... for another, we spread the word on fund raising drives (like that stupid "fill up folsom for the spring game" one)...

and a hundred other ways. Hell just promoting and building our fandom increases revenue.

Are you one of the "several others" as well? I feel like an extra in a "B" movie.

If Sackygate were a movie, I think we'd be credited as "man looking for beer" and "guy without hoodie".... :sad1:

 Is this what our lives have devolved into?

You were something more than that? Damn, that's surprising .

What exactly were you ever "evolved" into btw? "Man in Pink suit with long hair?"

:wink2:
