Scout Bio:
Broadway was considered by some to be the state's top quarterback prospect as a sophomore, but he was hampered by injuries as a junior. He has a live arm and make all of the throws, and can also make the big play with his feet at any time.
ESPN Eval:
Broadway is much like Blake Sims and Christian Green in this class is a dual-threat quarterback that is likely to be moved to either safety or wide receiver at the next level. In a spread scheme from the shotgun with a heavy dose of the zone read option we feel he would be a candidate to remain at QB. He has adequate size and is built like a wide receiver and moves like one too.

Top recruits on hand for spring game

By SCOTT HOTARD
Advocate sportswriter

Any time football is played in Tiger Stadium, tackles will be made and first downs will be had.

And, seemingly, prized college football prospects will be on hand.
Today is no different.

Close to 20 prospects from the Class of 2010 are expected on campus for LSU’s annual spring game (kickoff, 5 p.m.), part of the never-ending cycle that is college recruiting.

“It’s going to be a good time,” said Capitol Academy quarterback Terrance Broadway, who has scholarship offers from Alabama, Nebraska, Louisiana Tech and Connecticut.

Broadway, one of the South’s top dual-threat quarterback prospects, said the Tigers have become more aggressive lately in their recruitment of him.

Good timing, too.

Alabama, the first school to offer Broadway a scholarship, has picked up a pair of quarterback commitments since April 1. Broadway said he has no interest in being part of a three-quarterback signing class.

Kid reminds me of Kordell a little... wasn't Kordell from LA?

That's interesting.

So he either has to wait until other offers have been made and accepted, or keep decommitting if a school takes on more QBs after he accepts an offer.

Re: '10 LA QB Terrance Broadway

I'm not sure that we recruited him very hard. Kiesau seems to want big, strong-armed quarterbacks to run his offense (Trent Dilfer / Kyle Boller types). If they've got legs like Hansen and Evans all the better, but running ability is far from the first priority. Part of the reason I think Moten quickly moves to WR or S.

Re: '10 LA QB Terrance Broadway (Committed to Houston)

This is even more bizarre (should the commitment stick) than Griffin to Baylor.

Maybe he has relatives that moved to houston following the hurricane?

I'm wishing Broadway well and hoping that the NCAA has a heart. He is transferring to Louisiana-Lafayette and applying for a hardship waiver so he doesn't have to sit out next season. Given that he's going to a lesser program (Sun Belt vs C-USA) that's closer to home, this looks like a legit family reason to me:

"I lived with my grandmother, and she has Alzheimer's," Broadway continued. "I needed to be back closer to home and my family, and I hope the NCAA will help me out and give me a hardship waiver."

I went through that with my own grandmother and it was awful.
