Athlon's is out at B&N. And the Westminster Newsland has multiple ones. Thought I would let folks know if you are desperate as me for anything college football.

Nice. I definitely have the itch right now. Being in Folsom on Monday has only made it worse.

WooHoo. Didn't wait until after work, just got the Athlon Natl. Edition.

Teaser tidbit. Three teams CU will play will be installing the spread as a new O. Toledo, Wyoming and ISU. Pick up Athlon's, it's usually a decent read.

i bought every conferencer online a little over a week ago. They finally came in the mail yesterday.

it was a good day.

Are you referring to Steele's? If so I need to get on that. Last year I bought the national one and the Big 12 one, I plan on doing the same thing this year.

Steele's Big 12 North:

1. NU
2. The Buffs
3. KSU:wow::wow::wow:
4. Kansas
5. Mizzou
6. ISU

WTF!!!! No way in hell does the North end up that way:

My opinion:
1. NU-of course :smile2:
2. CU
3. KU
4. MU
5. KSU
6. ISU

That guy is smoking crack to even consider KSU that high up on the list.

I think you can take a blanket and throw it over KU, MU, NU, and CU in terms of who the best team in the North is. Eventually, it will come down to schedule and injuries, or lack thereof. CU has the advantage over all three in that they all have to come to Boulder next year.

Anybody who puts ISU and KSU anywhere but at the bottom isn't paying attention.

Yea that is pretty shocking. He's apparently putting quite a bit of stock in the fact that they host CU, KU, and Misery, but I don't think that's gonna help them much. It's not like they have that big of a homefield advantage anyway.

With all the new termoil going on at ksu over Princes contract, new Admin, etc; that will be a huge distraction going into the new season. I read an article on the SI webpage that said many of their alum have stopped contributing to the program. If that doesn't hurt them bad, I don't know what else would?

Steele must have a lot of faith in that dinosaur they brought back to coach.

I know we call him crazy now, but look at last year with NU coming off 5-7 and last place in the North with a new coaching staff. Here is how he called it.

1. MU
2. NU
3. KU
4. KSU
5. CU
6. ISU

Scary thing is that turned out essentially correct. He basically got the south correct too. Personally I don't see KSU doing it, they just don't have the athletes and a qb mess, but I will want to at least look at his arguments because they are typically based on formulas he runs based on all the factors. 2nd for the Buffs ain't bad either , I would gladly take that.

Difference is NU had talent and an experienced QB. Not nearly the same situation as KSU.

CU hasn't played well there, and I think Steele is putting to much confidence in Snyder. KU is a much better team than KSU. Me, I the North is up for grabs except for KSU and ISU. What does he rank Texas and OU?

Steele generally has good and valid reasons why he sometimes has "uncommon" picks and more often than not he ends up being right. Remember, he picked CU as one of his surprise national title contenders in 2001 coming off a 3-8 season, and he missed on that one by the slimmest of margins. He also picked WSU dead last in the Pac-10 a few years ago after they were coming off something like a 10-1 season and he nailed that one.

Ordered my Big 12 and national editions today.
