So is there any real possibility of a DS t-fer?..

I bumped over to the other site and their have their collective knickers in a bunch over some report that DS will follow JS...I have a hard time getting too worked up over one thread when the info isn't anywhere else I can find.

Conventional wisdom is that D-Scott is his own man, and not somehow tied to his Uncle Josh.

Darrell allegedly hangs out with a different circle of friends, has a good relationship with Hagan, works hard with Pitt, and is ready to play. According to his facebook, he's moved into a Boulder apartment and ready to get back to work.

We'll see how it all plays out. Once the Josh's new school is announced, there will undoubtely be an other wave of speculation.

The next decission point will depend upon how much PT Scott gets relative to Sumler, Speedy and Lock. If he has a breakout year, then no worries.

Of course there is a possibility. His Uncle left, he would be in demand at other schools, etc. etc. But is there a strong possibility? Only he knows, but I tend to doubt it. For one thing, I assume his mother ended up moving to Colorado as was planned? (And got a sweet job running a bank, not to mention a unicorn... :smile2:) Is he going to suddenly uproot and leave her behind just to follow Josh? Is he going to want to transfer and sit out a year, coming off a tough year last year? Personally, I'd want to get on the field this year and prove a point, not sit for a year somewhere else... And the always reliable Facebook intel. seems positive for CU. I'm not terribly stressed about the possibility right now...

As far as the discussion on the "other" ****, er site... It appears to revolve around somebody on CSTV saying DS was considering transferring, but nothing saying where they got that info. It was also pointed out that The Ralphie Report is the CU blog linked to CSTV's web site, and a possible source of the information.

What Irish had to say on The Ralphie Report was this...

2) This was my first thought when I heard of the news and what guys like Tim Griffin of ESPN will ponder is in regards to the future of RB Darrell Scott and even if he does stay at Colorado, how will this impact his football career at Colorado? A big reason Scott came to Colorado was his uncle Josh Smith and although Kyle Ringo said in his column that this shouldn't have an impact on Scott's status, he is a 19 year old young man who lost his best friend/family member in school. It might not be a big deal now but what about when school starts? Either way, this isn't good for what needs to be our best player in '09. I wouldn't worry about this one too much yet as it might be the first overreaction on this story but a year from now, what if the Buffs don't turn it around to a satisfactory level? What will be the first question most will ask?
You just have to hope their isn't more to the story on this one.

Hardly anything resembling concrete transfer info here. Right now this smells much more like smoke than fire....

Now, must go gouge my eyes out to erase the lingering image of that ****hole of a website....

As of yet, he doesn't have much stock outside of Boulder. He is the man for the Buffs and he knows that. I highly doubt he would leave CU, where he will certainly be a horse and get a lot of carries, to sit out a year at another program.

We have a 3 page thread on shaving, for God's sake. I think the time wasting ship has pretty much already sailed....

not to mention one that addresses how badass spongebob is

If the running game stacks up like we all fondly imagine, Scott will want to continue to be part of it.

If he leaves, then he leaves. There is no use worrying about it.

Just means more reps for Speedy slash up a defense :smile2:

I saw Josh Smith at about 5-6 basketball games this past year and never once was he with Darrell Scott. Just because DS picked a team where he had a relative/knew someone, doesn't mean he hasn't made his own friends on & off the field.

At least that's my justification of why DS won't transfer. :smile2:

I think Scott is gonna be what he was supposed to be last season with the new offense. I'm excited to watch him excel at CU.

I kind of see the two guys going different directions, looks like J-fly is just not that interested in doing what it takes to be a top flight football player, he is more interested in doing other things with his life. On the other hand DS reportedly has really stepped it up by more than a notch, hitting the weight room, working hard in spring ball and in the informal stuff, focused on football.

DS looks like he wants to be a key part of this team, J-fly wants to be a rapper, etc. Unless something happens to make this year really unpleasant for DS I think he is here until he graduates or goes pro.

I believe his mother is still in California. It was not her intention to move to Colorado.

Of course there is. Why would it even be questionable? Have you seen what's gone on here the last 3-6 years? 5 and 4 star players don't become big 12 all-americans here. Our 2-3 stars produce more.

If scott leaves then we just get laughed at again and set ourselves back as usual.

Hey now, we could be like Nebraska and have 4 blue chip QB's leave us the last 4 years.:smile2:

Is fear of a little laughter what's behind that bitter beer face? Laughter really is the best medicine.

I'd rather be laughing because our 4 and 5 star recruits proved others wrong and be laughing while were winning north titles, big 12 championships and national championships.

Someone is laughing at this post right now.....

Ahh. So it's better to be laughing than laughed at. Got it. Bwahahahah!

You are correct. I thought I remembered that she intended to move to Boulder when he enrolled here, but a google search seems to show the opposite. I may be remembering somebody else....

I still don't think he's likely to transfer, though...

She was going to move to be closer to Darrell but that was not necessary since the unicorn can transport her to Boulder whenever she wishes.

Yeah, but we're laughing with you...
