I just saw that on Scout! Great news for the Buffs! A big welcome to Nick.

Go Buffs!

Re: '10 CA QB Nick Hirschman (Committed to CU)

Always great news to hear when we get a commitment.

Welcome to the buffs, Nick. Can't wait to learn more about you.

Re: '10 CA QB Nick Hirschman (Committed to CU)

Is the Los Gatos HS mascot really the Cats? Come on now, folks, be at least a little bit creative. If nothing else, go with Dogs just for the ****s and giggles.

Re: '10 CA QB Nick Hirschman (Committed to CU)

This is a great pickup. His highlight tape looks great. We picked up a gunslinger.

Re: '10 CA QB Nick Hirschman (Committed to CU)

He's been working out with Quarterback Guru Bob Johnson and Trent Dilfer for the past 6 mos. He's really improved his stock bigtime.

Re: '10 CA QB Nick Hirschman (Committed to CU)

That takes care of QB recruiting. I'm thinking we're headed for a long quiet period now.

Re: '10 CA QB Nick Hirschman (Committed to Colorado)

TAKE THAT HARVARD!!!! welcome to the herd nick!!!

Re: '10 CA QB Nick Hirschman (Committed to Colorado)

saw a video of him... needs to work on his foot work but has a laser that is damn accurate

Re: '10 CA QB Nick Hirschman (Committed to Colorado)

Welcome aboard Nick so pleased you chose the Buffs

Re: '10 CA QB Nick Hirschman (Committed to Colorado)

I like him. He can handle a rush thats for damn sure. Feet look ok, a bit of a lumbering fellow isn't he? But the high release and his touch downfield are great. Also love hwo he is always looking downfield, even when scrambling.

Re: '10 CA QB Nick Hirschman (Committed to Colorado)

Saw his vid, nice arm and touch. Do you guys feel that nick, clark or one of the other qb's other than cody and hansen can lead this team to a big 12 championship in the future?

I like this pick-up. Sounds like he has a good work ethic.

I think we can. Supposedly Clark Evans was being courted by Ohio State after he committed to the Buffs. So that looks good for him

Re: '10 CA QB Nick Hirschman (Committed to Colorado)

Good news. The kid looks solid and has the size to see past our huge line.
We now have the beginnings of another solid class.

Thanks to Hawk and staff, recruiting must be a real dog eat dog challenge

....solid pickup, and I think we're locked @ QB now assuming these guys sign on the dotted lign come February...good to have a few guys taller than 6 feet coming in @ the QB spot!

A big :woot: & Welcome Nick!

Re: '10 CA QB Nick Hirschman (Committed to Colorado)

why the discrepancy between ESPN and Rival's ratings? Did rivals just not evaluate him yet?

Possible, but remember Trent Dilfer has been working with him and Dilfer works for ESPN.

I like it! 6`4 QB is what we have needed for a long time!

Re: '10 CA QB Nick Hirschman (Committed to Colorado)

You gotta love rating systems.

Scout has him at 6' 4" & 3 stars
Rivals has him at 6' 2" & unrated
ESPN has him at 6' 3" & a top 150 prospect

He looks like a kid who could develop into a terrific pocket passer. Since Kiesau is looking to go with a more traditional/pocket passing game this could really pay off in the future.

Re: '10 CA QB Nick Hirschman (Committed to Colorado)

Great news! Looks like the staff got the guy they wanted.

Welcome aboard Nick!

Could be short for Wildcats, but Los Gatos does mean "The Cats" in spanish, so it sort of fits.

I'm guessing Ratz has a pretty straight delivery. Or not...
