Who do you think takes home the Sears trophy this season? I think it is gonna be just like the 2005 season with what happens.

Florida returns to the title game (just like SC did in '05)
Texas goes in and does what OU couldn't the year before just like in 2005.

2009 National champions TEXAS LONGHORNS. Hey I predicted that in 2005, and am picking it again for 2009!

I'll go with Florida because on paper they're loaded and even though they play in the toughest conference, their toughest games are manageable being at LSU and the annual affair with UGA. The RRSO winner is a likely opponent. VT is an interesting pick but I think they have enough tough games where they drop 1 or 2 along the way.

I hate Ohio State, but they are gunna win it.

I would be shocked if they did. Don't really see it, overatted team in an overatted conference. If, IF they get to Pasadena, they will get exposed by the SEC or Big 12 once again.

I thought they looked pretty good and pretty young against a VERY good TX team in the bowl game last year. With Pryor a year older, I think they can be pretty damned dangerous. It pains me to say that cause I agree, they are usually REALLY overrated and the conference ****ing sucks yak balls.

Don't forget that they lose Wells though. The USC game will be a swing game for OSU as far as whether or not they're a player in the MNC race.

I need to look at schedules to see who is going to take it all. I think Texas has the inside track, but we'll see....

It's tough to call because I always think of the MNC in terms of undefeated teams, and I don't see anyone as a clear favorite to go undefeated. So then we have the whole BCS controversy again, probably with every contending team having their one loss in a game where they were actually favored.

But I'll go with USC over OSU. I think the Trojans are due.

This is a silly poll.... of course it will be the Buffs...

BOOK IT!

The Gators I think lose 2 players from their starting D and O. I could be wrong but it still some insane small number. With that, Florida does not play Bama or Ole Miss this year. Unless it's the SEC title game of course. Although the SEC is one of/if not the toughest conference in college football, I think they run the table this year.

Whoever wins between Ole Miss and Florida in the SEC Championship game.

My mind says Florida but I'll go with Ole Miss just to be different.

Opponent doesn't matter

Unless its OU who wants to keep their BCS losing streak alive. :smile2:

I gotta agree with you that the USC game will tell us a lot, however, I'm not sold on USC. They lost a ton on defense and their offense just hasn't been the same the past few seasons. I could easily see them dropping one or two pac 10 games along with losing to tOSU in the shoe. Put the buckeyes up against UT or UF and they would be destroyed. I'll take UT to win it all.

Replace Old Miss with 'Bama and that would be my guess.

Something tells me this is UT's year. I hate saying that, but they're loaded.

USC probably has more talent than anybody, but always manages to step on their collective crank at one point in the season. I suspect they'll do the same thing again this year. Some middle of the road Pac-10 team will beat them and destroy their MNC aspirations.

Doh... My bad.

Still...

I was looking at their schedule. They definitely have a shot it would seem. Their toughest road game might be right off the bat at Boise State. Having 4 out of the first 5 at home gives them a chance at a great start, and getting Cal/USC both at home helps too.

florida, texas and Va tech would be my early leaders. Don't know if va tech has the offense to go all the way but they will have another damn good defense.
