Re: '10 CA DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe

Despite being overshadowed by two top 10 players at their position, Corona (Calif.) defensive end Chidera Uzo-Direbe is making a name for himself.

Jordon James (#8-ranked running back) and Demetrius Wright (#9-ranked cornerback), have both deservedly received a lot of attention, but Uzo-Direbe turned in a fine performance at Colorado's camp this week, and in the process, landed his first offer.
"Colorado just offered me," said Uzo-Direbe.

Uzo-Direbe also has camped at UCLA and will be visiting Westwood on Friday for an unofficial visit with James and then will head up to Fresno State to take an unofficial visit next week.

Next commit? Ahead of his visit?

Re: '10 CA DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe

I guess he's a big time sleeper DE. He's liked the Buffs for a while now. Hopefully we can turn things around and get his verbal.

Re: '10 CA DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe (Soft Verbal to Colorado)

I'm very excited about him. He's a blue chip talent that just hasn't played much football. We'll be able to redshirt him next year, too, since we've got everyone coming back at DE.

I'd like to add a strongside DE to this class to pair with him.

Great start, though. Good to see us get the ball rolling on defense.

Here's a Banana Dance x5 for Diribe! Woot!

Re: '10 CA DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe (Soft Verbal to Colorado)

soft verbal eh? Gotta roll off some more wins, but hope this guy sticks. Had some nice offers from kNU, UCLA, and Arizona.

Re: '10 CA DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe (Soft Verbal to Colorado)

Went to high school for 2 years with Max. Hopefully MTM will host him for a great visit over Missouri weekend. I believe we're stronger than a soft verbal here.

Re: '10 CA DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe (Committed to Colorado)

It's nice to see Colorado getting some guys on defense this cycle.

Re: '10 CA DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe (Committed to Colorado)

is he a soft verbal or solid cause the thread has changed

Re: '10 CA DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe (Committed to Colorado)

I switched it to a solid verbal. I don't think there's any info out there that said he was a soft verbal. Let me know if I'm wrong.

He said he is taking more officials. Think of Nosa Eguae part 2

I think anyone who still has official visits to make has to be considered "soft" ...

Re: '10 CA DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe (Committed to Colorado)

Rivals has him as "Committed" not "Soft Verbal" and they were the service that was sounding softest. Scout's West Coast Recruiting Director was very positive. I don't there's reason at this time to say Soft Verbal.

Re: '10 CA DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe (Committed to Colorado)

Awesome! We need a lot more weekends like this one!!

Re: '10 CA DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe (Committed to Colorado)

According to scout.com he is going to officially visit UCLA and Arizona along with CU

Re: '10 CA DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe (Committed to Colorado)

Scout may have switched him to a "soft verbal". Need to double check but no time until tonight.

Stepped away from pissing everyone off with my infraction stick to change the title of this thread title back to Soft Verbal. Hope that is cool Recruiting arm of the Junta

I guess I'm of the mind that if a kid commits, until he de-commits, I hate changing it to "soft verbal" as I don't know what it means.

He's taking visits, okay, but did he say somewhere he was wavering?
