Poll: Hawkins or Hansen?

Hawkins will start and have some decent games in the first 3, but will struggle vs. WVU and UT. Hansen comes in late against UT and starts the rest of the season. Thats my prediction and I'm sticking to it.

that is a dumb plan. We should start Hansen against the scrubs to see if he can hack it and get game experience, if he does work out bring hawk in.

I think Hawkins will start the entire season barring injury. My prediction is Hawkins will pleasantly surprise with a little protection and a running game, he will be the #2 qb in the B12N behind Reesing.

Now that is something I haven't thought about. Hawkins is the second most experienced QB in the division. He doesn't have Freeman, Ganz and Daniel this year. I do hope the best man wins, but I still haven't seen Cody consitently put it together like I want. He can be good and he can be "WTF!". The same could be said about Hansen too though, dude himself needs work on his passing. The QB battle will be interesting thats for sure. And one thing that will be nice is we should have a solid backup QB for whoever wins the starter job.

If Hansen is close to Hawkins at the end of fall camp, he ought to be the guy. But I agree with Stampy, I think people are underrating Hawkins. A half-decent line and he'll look a lot better. He was pretty on target with some pretty nice throws against Nebraska. Its hard to get zip on balls when you are getting run over.

Based on what we've seen, I don't think anyone is underRATING Hawkins. Underestimating? I sure as **** hope so.

Hawkins will never take us to the next level - Hansen all the way with Evans #2. Nothing against Cody, I just think these 2 have alot more potential. As far as game management, you would have to go with Cody.

Convincing argument.

All Evans jokes aside, I don't know if I would put Evans #2 his freshman season. I agree that Hansen gives us more than Cody with being a running threat, but Cody would be a good backup. Cody is not dog **** and has led us to some good wins (back to back CSU, Almost backto back NU, and then of course OU). Remember that Cody did have good back to back games against the fuskers until the tipped INT by Suh.

I do agree that Cody wont take us to the next level, but one thing that Cody has over Hansen right now is Cody has proven a hell of a lot more than Hansen has in the passing department. We will see, I would like Hansen to start, but I just don't think he will at first.

Plus Evans got f'in worked at that OC allstar game the other weekend.

Little Hawk deserves a chance based on performance so far. Hansen has more talent, but until it can translate into being a consistent QB, Little Hawk should be the starter.

I believe Hawk will make the right call on who should be the QB.

holy ****. we agree on something. ****. I must be wrong then

I think lil' hawk in a run oriented I-form offense will be good.

I still think that Hansen should get a majority of the fall practice reps. I think one of Hawkins strengths is that he can learn the new nuances on the fly if it is decided that Hansen just won't work.
