When will CU break it's losing streak against the North on the road?
The Buffs have not won a game against a Big 12 north opponent on the road since they beat Kansas State in 2005. Since then they are 0-8 against the north on the road. If CU is to return to being a contender in the division, they must break this streak.
One more thing, the 8 games prior to the start of the losing streak, the buffs were 6-2 against the north on the road. Gotta end the streak, does it come at the same place the buffs last won a division game on the road, Manhattan, KS? Or the place where the streak started, Ames? Or does the dreaded streak continue for at least another season?

winning on the road against (what should be) inferior teams are one thing the Buffs need to do to take the next step. can't afford to slip up this year and haven't done it in the last two years....minus TTech in 06.

We win both of those games handily.

We need to get the road mojo working both for success in 2009 and as a confidence-building lead-in to 2010 when a lot of our difficult game are roadies.

I'm gonna try to go to the game in Ames in hopes that I can inspire a rousing "Win one for the poor son of a bitch sitting alone in the CU section and freezing his ass off" speech. :wink2:

I keep trying to get my dad to go back to his old stomping grounds to see the Buffs take on the Cyclones. His response is always the same: "I spent four years, that is more than enough."

Only reason we might be back is it'll be about a month after the kiddo is born and wifey's family back in IA will want to see the baby. Wanting to be as efficient as possible, it makes sense to go back the weekend the buffs are playing the clowns. :smile2:

LOL! Great minds think alike. My wife's family is in Sioux City, the baby will be 14 months old by then, and no one but Grandma has met him. I figure if I've got to spend a week in Iowa this fall, I may as well tie it in with the CU game and get away from everyone for a day by driving to Ames. :smile2:

Sioux City in November? Beautiful!

Well played sir. See you in Ames perhaps.

Been there, actually Ames is a great place to see a football game - if you can catch a nice day. The campus is beautiful, but forget the city.

Not so nice when tornadoes delay the game.
