Which game that we will probably be favored in scares you the most?

Games I think we will be favored in are CSU, Toledo, Wyoming, Texas A&M and Iowa St.

Games we could be favored in depending on how are season is going and how the opponents season is going are Missouri and Kansas St. I'm gonna go ahead and put these two in the option for buffs likely being favored as Mizzou is gonna likely be coming off a 3 game losing streak when they play us.

Games we will be dogs in are WVU, UT, KU, OSU, and probably NU.

Favored against Missouri? The team we lost to 58-0 last year? OK, so they lost some players and some coaches, but they beat us 58-0 last year. FIFTY EIGHT TO ZERO. Our own coaches haven't been able to figure out how to defend that offense, and seem to have come to the conclusion that trying what we did last year should work this year. :bang:

None of them scare me. I don't like the limited days off before Toledo, but have no fear we'll take that one by two scores at least, and I wouldn't overlook our conference road games, but I don't think KSU or ISU is going to give us much trouble. CSU makes it a game most of the time. Not this time. We're at home and we send them back to the stone ages.

Crap. I haven't had that first cup of coffee and read the question as "What game will CU be favored by the most." Thus my pick for Wyoming. At home. Full week to prepare for a basement dweller of the MWC.

I'd change my vote to Toledo because of the short week combined with Hawk's inability to win night games on the road.

I know we play Toledo on the road and a short week of practice, but Iowa State in Ames is my pick....as Boulder Buff said we always struggle in Ames.....GO BUFFS!!!!

I participated in the poll but im not scared really (im sure you understand) :)

I'd be worried about A&M (game you'll be favored in).

aggy sucks. We always play them well in Boulder. Should have beaten them last year on the road. No worries whatsoever.

Im not disagreeing with you....but from the teams provided and thinking of games you'll be favored in....A&M would be my logical choice.

I'm done with the Mizzou with you, yes I get the point 58-0, ZERO!!! But, this is a different season, different teams, different players, different coaches. Last year is irrelevant.

Last year is most certainly not irrelevant. We'll have basically the same team on the field this year as we had on the field last year, save for Miller. You're basically saying that in one year, Missouri will fall off the cliff. I'm not buying it. They'll still run the same offense that we obviously can't stop.

They won't be as good as last year by any means. But when it comes to whether or not the numbers guys will make us favorites in that game or not, last year is certainly not going to be irrelevant. Unless we're on a serious roll and Mizzou is way down, I wouldn't necessarily expect to be favored there...

I finally decided on ISU for the poll question. We were far too close to losing to them last year in Boulder. Ames is a house of horrors for us. And there is always the chance Clete Blakeman gets to work the game and serve it up to the Clowns on a silver platter again.

KJSU would probably be my second choice there... I'm not on the Toledo ZOMG!! bandwagon that some here are, CSU is always a concern but I don't see them winning this year, aTm is at home and possibly not as good a team as ISU this year, Wyo is Wyo, and I don't think we can assume being favored in any other game.

one of the interesting things about Mizzou is they put 3 defensive players from the 07 and 08 teams in the NFL draft and were still pretty mediocre on D and couldn't stop good teams from running it right down their throat. i think losing Christianson is a set back for them (though the MU boards were all over the guy for some reason), but the loss of the DC Eberflus may be addition by subtraction. there was some kind of disconnect on the D side for MU.

This was a tough choice between KjSU, ISU, and csewe because we always play bad in Ames and the Little Apple, but KjSU should be a little better then ISU. The only reason I have the lammies on my list is because I absolutely despise losing to them.

As for us being favored over misery, if we played them now we certainly wouldn't be favored, but by the time we get to the that point of the season the perception of the 2 teams should be much different by then, especially with them coming off 2 straight losses or possibly even 3 straight. Their 3 games preceding the CU game are knu, at OSU, and UT.

I voted for the Florida game in the MNC title game that we will be favored to win

Thankfully for all concerned, Clete Blakeman has moved on to the NFL and thus has no chance of fixing a CU game this season....

It's irrelevent because in 2005 we beat the **** out of Mizzou and then next three years they beat the **** out of us. You just can't compare years like that because so much changes in the college level and Mizzou will be a completely changed team in '09. DANIEL MADE THAT OFFENSE WORK, THEY WONT BE THE SAME!

I am not gonna change your opinion and you're not gonna change mine.

As for why I think there is a chance we coudl be favored against Mizzou is because the Tigers could easily have 4 maybe 5 losses by the time we play them and the buffs will have a much better record. Mizzou will lose their opener to Illinois and they have a tough three game stretch before us in Nebraska, Oklahoma St and Texas.

Oh BTW, I'm not the only one who thinks Mizzou wont be the same. phil steele, the most accurate pre season predictor picks Mizzou 5th in the north. He picked CU 2nd.

one more thing, the buffs are really looking forward to playing Mizzou.
