Away games

Anyone planning on going to any of the away games this year? I'm planning on going to Toledo and WVU. We'll be tailgating at both if anyone's heading out that way. No home games for me this year

We are headed out to WV, does anyone have any suggestions?

Since the marching band isn't traveling this year, I'm not either unfortunately. That is unless we go the the Big XII or to a sweet bowl game.

Will be in town for UT, now just got to find a way to get into the game.

Suggestions for what? Sorry I'm a little braindead tonight...

Where stay, where to go, what to see, you know the usual.

Really I'm ****ing with you, what I really want to know is where is the best strip club?:smile2:

Ha, I actually don't know Morgantown at all. My boss is from right across the border in Pa. so i'm hoping to find a meeting for that Thurs. then just hop across the border for the game. I'm staying in Pa. since the hotels in Morgantown were either flea bag looking (from the websites) or $450. Don't know the strip clubs there but my little cousin will be a freshman at WVU, i'm sure he'll find them quickly!

Nice! I haven't looked into lodging yet, but I want to be as close to where the fun is going down as possible.

I know at one point i had reservations at like the Best Western Mountaineer Inn, but then canceled when they changed it to a Thursday. Not sure if there are rooms left there, but I couldn't pay $450 for a Hampton Inn. Work may cover my hotel room for $150, but $450 would be a little hard to justify.

It is in the middle of nowhere so you'll have to fly into Pittsburgh I guess?

Yep. Pittsburgh is 60 Miles away.
Hotels are still available in Morgantown, but most are $150-250/night with a two night stay minimum.

WV for me with my mom, wife and 4 kids (first football game ever for the kids, so watch your language fellas)

osu and ut. skids, i dropped our wvu reservation after deciding to commit to mardi gras this year.

I would like to make the KSU game this year. Anybody want to road trip out there? Maybe spend a night or two in Salina? I realize Salina isn't the hottest spot on the radar, but I want to get all the Big 12 stadiums in at some point or another, and KSU is the most convenient this year.

Dont forget to eat at Russell's while you are in Salina..... :smile2: (just kidding)

Oct. 24th could be a go for Manhatten..... dont leave for SD until the next weekend to start my fall pilgrimage of hunting....

I may roadtrip to KSU. Otherwise, just the home games.

And we're doing my brother's 40th birthday celebration at the bowl game so the fricking Buffs better be playing somewhere good in late Dec/early Jan!!!

That would be about halfway for both of us, wouldn't it? I'm game if you are. That would be hella-cool.

Salina, Ks is roughly 6 hours from the metroplex. I have driven I35 and I135 so many times I can almost do it in my sleep. Need to get LB on board and we would be good to go. It would scratch another one off for us to where we just have ISU (together) knu (for me) and Mizzou (for her) for us to be to all the Big XII venues

I've never been to Ames nor Columbia for a CU game either. Mizzou is on my 2010 to do list. Ames is on the docket for 2011. Maybe I'll see you there.

I'll keep going back to Lawrence and Austin until I see the Buffs win. Man, a victory @UT this year would be huge. It's depressing to start planning for 2013 already.:sad1:

All the rest of the B12 is checked off.

Yep, that's almost perfectly halfway. OK. I'm in. I may be driving myself (and a bunch of tailgate gear), but I'll do it. I just needed to know I wouldn't be at the game by myself. We'll work out the details as time gets closer. I can buy tickets from the CU office if you want me to. Just let me know.

sounds good. As LB and I will drive too, we can bring tailgate gear & supplies also. Who knows, but Oct. we may have a pretty decent size crowd going.

I'll talk to LB on how she wants to work the tickets...
