It used to be beer. But I've not tailgated since I quit drinking, so I don't know what would replace it.

I like this poll. It will help greatly this season. I should point out that I also make a mean jambalaya. Just sayin'.

kabobs are versatile. I wish I could make a tailgate some time. Sounds like you guys have a lot of fun.

With the exception of the veggie tray selection, you really can't go wrong. But I went with chips and dip, referring specifically to nachos.

For you folks who choose "steaks", I'll gladly grill it up for you. Just don't expect me to buy your steak for you.

how can you have a tailgate poll where "whiskey" is not an option?

that's almost as effed as the spamster's top 5 wide receivers poll.

Maybe if you're lucky I'll make a fav tailgate beverage poll, this was about food.

whiskey is made of fine grains and such. it is as legitimate as a food as ketchup was under the reagan administration.

so there.

Can we :ban: anybody who chooses the veggie tray option?? :wow:

Hey, Leash polled 1,000 people to come up with his choices, so they must be right!

Go drink some ****ty bourbon on I-80 or something...

Interesting choice on the BBQ pork sandwiches. That's easy enough to do. Consider it added to the menu next year for a few games. Maybe not all of them, but definitely a few.

Depends on my mood, but I'm gonna go with baby back ribs. My brother and I were figuring out our tailgating menu the other day. For sure we're going to do baby backs, pulled pork and chili. Other games are still up in the air, although brats always go over well.

Can't wait for football!

All sounds good. But I think I would go with pulled pork over baby backs. It is close though.

I prefer the ribs, but both are damn tasty. I'm getting hungry thinking about this.

CSU game will probably be the brats or pulled pork. That will be our biggest tailgate crowd of the year by far and I'm not buying baby backs for all those people. I'll probably save the baby backs for a game like Wyoming where nobody will come.

Perhaps for the knu game a pig roast?

Just an idea. I know a place up north of Denver that rents the smoker/spit and pre-marinates the pig. Reasonably priced too, might have to have folks throw in for it but it serves a boat load of people.
