Talked to an O-Line Man

Talked to an O-line man at my place of employment. He mentioned that this was the first year since he's been here were the team is really buying into the program. He says that everyone on the team is really humble at this point. Also talked about Kasa and how that guy is a physical specimen. He mentioned that he seems like a guy thats been in the program for two years; that he has the mentality to play now. Also, he talked about how Josh Smith once said he thought his talent level was too high for the team.

Was it Marwan Hage? Otherwise I have no idea what a Buff lineman would be doing in Canada:smile2:

It was Itis. Great person, with a great head on his shoulder. He's really gung ho about playing center. Also says he loves Denver the person.

I wonder if Josh will tell slick rick that he has tooooooo much talant for the bruins?

No worries. Remember, it's all aboot Anne Murray north of the border.

:smile2:

And don't forget the Tragically Hip. They used to like Barenaked Ladies, too, but disowned them once they got popular in the States.

I recall talking to Iltis at practice last August after his injury. He was positive about rehab and working hard for the following season. I sensed he was a good guy and very sincere. And now here we are at the beginning of the following season and Iltis was true to his word. I've gotten the sense that the linemen have developed a good relationship with Denver Johnson. I think the offensive line will be much improved for a variety of reasons. We will see.

I feel good about Iltis anchoring the middle of the line this year. He's strong as a bull and every report has been that he's very committed athlete who puts a ton of effort forth in film study, weight training and practice. Since he's our biggest question mark on the offensive line this year, I'm pretty confident that we'll win the line of scrimmage every week.

Nice to have a Fla guy putting forth the effort and impressing those around him. Hope we get more players from the sunshine state.
