Voted Hagan because I'll never vote for a fusker, but Frazier was very close.
 
Frazier takes this one. I'd put Holleway and Hagan at co-#2.

Crouch is one of the most overrated QBs ever, take him off that list.
 
Going old school here - but Nolan Cromwell at KU in the mid 70's was awesome. Just ask UBT...
 
I despised him as a player, but I had to go with Frazier. That guy could just will his teams to wins in tight games. The 1993 game in Boulder being a prime example.

Stats are actually pretty even, Frazier just slightly ahead in most.

-Record as starter: Hagan: 28-5-2; Frazier 33-3

-Record in Big 8: Hagan: 20-0-1; Frazier: Don't know

-National titles: Hagan 1; Frazier 2

-Big 8 titles: Hagan: 3; Frazier 4

Record vs. NU/CU: Hagan: 2-0-1; Frazier 4-0

Total offense: Hagan 5,808; Frazier: 5,476



Hagan was the 6th player in NCAA history to go over 1,000 yards rushing and passing in a season, and was the 1st Big 8 QB to ever do it.

Holloway, pre injury, has to be a strong #3. At times quite possibly the most electric player I have ever seen....:wow:

Also agree with the shout out for Dee Dowis above. Fun, fun player to watch.

I loved option football.... :sad1:

Turner Gill, JC Watts and Thomas Lott are better than half the guys on the list. Dee Dowis is on the list. i think we are homering a little to put Holieway at #3 and Hagan above him.

Definitely. Very underrated camera work on that play - the cameraman kept Flanagan on screen the whole play before the pitch, and zoomed in on him yet kept him centered while he ran down the sideline.
 
Another one to consider is Jack Mildren, back in the boomer wishbone days. Dude was good, and cool as a cucumber.

I love what Hagan did on the field, as well as for the program.

Frazier was 27-1 against the Big 8.

I always liked JC Watts too. He has more secular achievements than most on the list as well

DH's Big8 record was given already. The poster that gave DH's record did not know Frazier's.

20-0-1 and 27-1 are both amazing. Which one is better? Who cares...they're both amazing.

You're absolutely right about the color, by the way. It's morphed in USF gold in the last several years. When I see USF highlights, my first reaction is that I'm watching CU.

I preferred the old color of helmet, without a doubt..

Having said all of that, it doesn't strike me as that big of a deal.

In all honesty when talking strict running discipline and quickness....I say crouch. Frazier a close second. Crouch was quick as all **** and ran a faster forty and also had a better arm.
