Coach Hawk: Starter at QB

I bet Hawk and the team knows who the starter is. This could be very good game planning for game #1. Seriously, if your an opposing team trying to prepare for two different style QB's, thats got to be hard.

Not to be a smartass, but I sure hope the team knows before the game who is the starter because that guy will be reps with the 1s the whole week leading up to the game.

Maybe Hawk thinks this will stop people from asking him who the starter is going to be after every practice?

Won't work.

I guess I can see the gamesmanship in it..

My guess is that Little Hawk will be the starter..

If he announces, then he has to answer questions about how fair the selection was, the qb's get interviewed on the same topic, the nepotism thing becomes the focus of douche's like Henderson and Ringo, and then Henderson writes his "embattled Hawkins" story.

This way, he just has to hear the reporters ask him who the starter is, and the qb's have a stock answer to give the reporters when they are grilled about whether they are pissed about who got picked to be starter: "we don't know."

This is the best and most logical reason I've heard up to this point. Because #1 I don't like to think we would have to hide who our starter is against CSU and #2 I hope DH/Keisau knows who the starter is at this point.

It's not just CSU.

Remember, Toledo's got the short week to prepare for us after the CSU game and they won't know until Sunday night what QB to prepare for on that Friday.

Every little bit helps. If we can gain a small advantage (no matter who it is we're playing), why not take it?

Nothing bad comes from not naming "cody". the team is clearly getting the reps with the # 1, it gives the impression that there are 2 very different styles to prepare for and it makes everybody prepare for a hansen appearance down the road.

It's stupid. It's time to name a starter and get the 1s playing together full time. We don't need this subterfuge to beat CSU.

No, it's not stupid. I'm sure they are already having the unnamed (from a public standpoint) starter play with the 1s. Why do you or other fans have to know? Just for ****s and giggles?

Anyone with a pulse knows who the starter is going to be. If hawk wants to keep it a secret so be it.

I thought we were planning on lining up against someone, man to man, and pounding it down their throats? I was hoping the trickery was over.

;)

Then, could you fill these fukheads in so they stop eating people?

This is what happens when you eat at jack-in-the-box.

I'm quite sure hawk and keisau know who the starter is, and let's face it, so does 99% of the human race. I don't need to know, becuase I already know :smile2:

I bet it's Hansen who starts vs. CSU, seriously.

For the first play from scrimmage, I would love to see them send out a wildcat formation - no qb, direct snap to DS. That would really **** with the heads of CSU and CU fans alike!:lol::lol:

i don't care who starts or who finishes, just so they kick the crap out of the sheep. i want scorched ****ing earth. i want cries of despair from the sheep faithful. i want the Buffs to run it up on them. i want to see a 7 touchdown win that features complete and total domination of the LOS. i want to see the sheep defense flatout quit.

i want this and i shall have it.

so it is spoken and so it shall be done.

I don't think the entire team could keep the secret if everyone knew and were practicing with one guy. JMHO
