Both Cody and Tyler bring different qualities to the job. Cody is a natural leader and football smart. Tyler is faster and a better arm. I think Tyler is a better choice because he throws the deep ball much better. Our running game will never be effective if opposing safeties are allowed to pinch up and play in run support. Quick passing routs won’t work unless Cody or Tyler start showing a consistent ability to hit people in stride. All that being said, this staff has shown they are afraid of the big Hawk so; I think Cody is named starter with a lot of Tyler in special packages. During the season Tyler takes over the top QB spot. Don’t be surprised to see Evans sneak in at the end, if Tyler or Cody gets hurt early in the season. He has a stronger arm then both Cody and Tyler and we haven’t seen him with the first team line to protect him.
P.S. If Papa Hawkins starts winning and recruiting well again, then baby bird will make one hell of an assistant coach for CU.

I don't think Tyler has a better arm

I don't think it matters so much who starts and finishes the season at QB because I think Hansen and Hawkins will both see a fair amount of time.

Evans will not get any snaps unless it is an emergency. He needs a full RS year.

TH and CH is not apples to apples. They both bring different things to the the table, but overall CHs style will fit the offense better with a heavy run game and play action, intermediate passes with a few deep balls thrown in. With the line, there shouldn't be a major need to scramble.

I'll probably get neg repped for this and although he is responsible for one of the best threads ever, Clark Evans will never play a meaningful down at Quarterback for CU. Nothing against him personally. I have believed that from the first day I watched his films. He will probably end up at TE. I think he will get beat out one of the walk ons we brought in this year, or a new recruit in the near future.

I can def see that happenin. Why would you get neg repped?
