I see that Pericak is gonna start at DT!

Must be his "natcheral poshision"!

I notice from his comments he welcomed the move, feeling he had grown too big for TE even!

Good to have another BHS kid working in on "D"....Keep up that Hale Irwin/ Dick Anderson tradition of moving from your HS position to your best, OR your "natural" postion!

I thought Preicak was not comfortable at DT. I think it went back to him never playing there in Pee Wee.

Dood acts like I have it in for Pericak or something. If he would just read my bio, he'd know better.

Wasn't ME hand-wringing about Will P. having to adjust to gaining weight and learning a new position---when his natural position was LB---which was YOUR conclusion after seeing him play thousands of times!

Less DRAMA QUEEN next time, eh, Dood?

Bunky is playing with fire. Maybe joining Tadpole on the ignore list here soon

Sack-Buff's original post did seem to be critical of th staff for moving Pericak to DT, when Pericak himself said he liked the move to that position. I guess I didn't understand S-B's point! Players play where they fit and do well, if Pericak was growing out of the LB position, so be it. I recall Hypolite starting out as a 235 lb. RB/DT candidate, he finished up pretty well:thumbsup:!

But that Bunky appears a little screw-loose, if you know what I mean!:wow:

The thing with Pericak as a LB wasn't that he was outgrowing it, it was that he ran a 4.8-4.9 40. He simply did not have the speed to play the position at the BCS level. However, he had everything else and he's been able to put on 50+ pounds while keeping his athleticism and nose for the football. I'm just kind of surprised he was able to progress this much so quickly at DT.

Gugh...

Somebody asked about what the deal with Pericak was a couple weeks ago. I speculated that he may be having some challenges with converting from linebacker, where he had always played, to DT, where he had never played a down of organized football before in his life. The position switch, I speculated, combined with the fact that he needed to put on at at least 40 lbs in order to play the position, might be taking some time to get used to, ESPECIALLY AS HE'D NEVER DONE IT BEFORE.

It amazes me that I have to continue to make this point over and over and over again, but I guess some folks have reading comprehension issues.

Anyhow, bunky completely misread the post, even after it was pointed out to him what I was saying. He instead thought I was bagging on Pericak (something I would never do), and that I had no idea what I was talking about because I never read his bio.

His bio?!?!? :wtf:

I won't be putting bunky on ignore. The entertainment value is simply too high.
