i asked this in another thread and it probably (thats my story and im sticking to it) got buried.

so, what OSU gained today for the Big XII with the win over UGA from the SEC... was it completely destroyed by OU's loss to BYU from the MWC?

it sure as hell cant help.

IMO, too early to tell. i have to think this knocks OU out of the national champ hunt. week one of the college football playoffs. :smile2:

it does nothing to thier BXII champ hopes.

OSU....that is a big win for them. With OU's loss, they gotta be the #2 team in the south. right now.

ouch for OU....

As someone who grew up in Oklahoma, today has nothing to do with the Big 12.

The fact is that "little brother" proved themselves, while OU shot themselves in the foot.

I just might ask my mom to mail me the Daily Oklahoman.

BYU is coached a lot better than Georgia. OU lost a neutral site game (although I admit it was filled with Sooners fans) while Okie state won a home game against Georgia.

I don't think OU's loss hurts anyone except OU's chances for a national championship..They will have to run the table and get some help.. OU is still in the running for the Big 12.. We'll see how long Bradford wil be out but if I remember correctly in 2006 they lost to TCU at home and lost AP in the middle of the season and they still rallied to win the Big 12.. So there season isn't over..

I was gonna suggest to just look at it online but after looking at their website I'd say yea, have her mail it to you.

yeh.... but, OU had natl champ asperations with a HT winner comming back at QB.

this loss may very well take them out of the hunt. now, its a long, long season. if things break thier way, they could make it in.

the team they have to root for is....

BYU.

OU better hope BYU has a big season. not only does OU have to run the table, they have to dominate. including Texas and TT and OSU. they also have to hope that BYU has a damn good season. not good enough to knock them out of the champ game. just good enough to make that loss to them not seem so bad.

that is a tall order.

yea, OU may make the CCG. they would do so as a spoiler for the big XII. assuming that Texas and OSU win out in the NonCGs....as im fairly sure they will do.

oh, i just love it!!!!

as i said before.....

week one of the college football playoffs is over. the #3 seeded team is out!!!!

Actually OU would want BYU to lose two games and hope the big leagues (SEC, Pac 10 and Big Ten) teams all have one loss at the end of the season..

I think BYU has a legit shot now to make it to the National Championship game.. Both TCU and Utah are at their place..

Wow. Oklahoma State looks pretty powerful on offense and not too shabby on defense. But, we should factor in the fact Mark Richt sh1ts himself at least once a year. This might have been it.

OU looked awful on offense, due to poor line play. They have highly skilled guys who looked ordinary (their RB for instance, and their Heisman QB). BYU handled them up front and could have had a commanding lead before Bradford went down but kept giving the ball back.

It all starts with the O-Line and we will see in 8 hours if our 3 new starters and the youngest Oline in the nation has what it takes. I don't care who the receivers and RBs are, if our Oline can't handle CSU's front, we are in trouble. I think they can and then some. Go BUFFS!

Bradford could be out for a few weeks. If his throwing shoulder is not given the time to recover he'll be limited all season at best. It's not a good situation.

OSU might have a shot at this thing.

The hiring of Bill Young as defensive coordinator may well put this OSU team over the top in the B12. The offense was never going to be a problem, it was always going to be about the defense. If he can get that defense to play as disciplined and confident like that Kansas team a couple of years ago, watch out! Now if their stars can stay healthy........

With Wins over OU, TCU, Utah, FSU, and Air Force....BYU would have a great shot to make it to the national championship game. Not a massacre I'd want to watch, but it would be good for the school and the Mountain West Conference.

Yup, and the one concern most people had about OU coming into the season was the O-line. Unfortunately for OU, those concerns appear to be very real at this point.
