Our much vaunted o-line sucked. Our hyped running backs looked flat. Our celebrated dbs couldn't keep up. And all the other parts that were supposed to suck did in fact suck.

What are we left with here folks? Was the water in the jugs cold? Did we do that right?

The kicking game (both kicks and punts) looked pretty decent.

Kickoff returns looked pretty good, too.

Punt returns = crap.
Offense = complete crap.
Defense = pretty much crap.

offensively we killed ourselves...HAND IT OFF TO THE FUKING PLAYMAKERS! no blocking up front, dropped passes, and Cody feeling hurried when he had time and and settling when he didnt...WTF??? Complete bull****...complete ineptitude on both sides of the ball!

Let's be honest, they'd rather throw 4 rb's in there instead of getting 1 rb reps and get into a groove. Hawkins thinks he's at boise. This team just **** all over themselves. We can't block csu with our big bad OL and we can't defend long passes with our big bad DB'S? wE STUNK AND HAWKINS and BOHN should be run out of town.

I never post here because all of you pretty much cover it before I can even get to the keyboard. Seriously though, even the announcers are asking, "why are they running east west, not north south," "Scott, 1 carry since the first half," "when are they going to start running north south," "thought they were going to pound the rock?"

THEY DON'T FOLLOW THE TEAM LIKE WE DO AND EVEN THEY FIGURED THAT OUT!!

Where were Scott, Simmons, R. Stewart, Jefferson, Ussery, all the "playmakers"? The stable of running backs? The powerful O-Line? Shutdown corners? Pro-prospect at corner? Mahnke? 4th and 1 and we run our slowest RB (Sumler) on a sweep against their best tackler?

Visions of last year:
-Cody running for his life every play.
-No blocking.
-Soft D.
-No D Scott.
-3 yard swing out passes
-Cody throwing 20 yard East/West cross field passes to gain an actual 3 yards
-3rd and 8, all the time
-13% conversion rate on 3rd Downs

I was a Hawk backer, but when you can't snap the @#$@ ball without 0 or 1 second on the play clock and you can't get the @#$# play in on a 3rd and 4 on a crucial drive, what the @#$@# are you doing???!!!??!?? Hawk Jr is barely getting the snap off the entire first half of the game!

How do you have no @#$@#$ timeouts left with 3 minutes left in the game, and you have been in conservation mode for a whole @#$@ quarter?

The worst part is that when McKnight got speared and "fumbled", that was the game changer that took all our momentum away. We go in for a TD on that drive, we win by 2 TDs. Period.

I am off the Hawk bandwagon. He is pretty much going to have to win 8 games this year to keep me a fan of his "style". Sorry for the length of the rant.

I thought Lockridge looked pretty damn fast on that toss play that went for a TD.

Just seemed like a lot of talent never got the ball.

I agree with everything but the part in red. I dont see us looking like we could win this game other than in a few parts. CSU controlled the tempo of the game for about 70% of the time. They would have come back to score if they felt threatened and there was nothing we could have done about that. Hell, they a LB covering in the end zone bat away a for sure TD for us. Their team came prepared.

Maybe I was a little juiced at the time by typing that, but we had gone in for a quick score (2 minutes), held CSU to a 3 and out with almost no yards gained on offense, then we started marching down the field with the crazy fingertip-screen pass to Scott. We had shoved it back on CSU, made the adjustments on defense, and appeared to have the CSU defense on it's heels. Then bam. That solid, solid hit just deflated us, turned the ball over, and we just evaporated.

That is just me looking into a crystal ball, of course I have no proof, no way to ever prove it, and no way to justify why I feel that way aside from a feeling.

Also, if I had known that would have been Scott's second, and last touch of the game on offense, I would have celebrated more.

However, your point is taken.
